From neon lids to rounded liner, here's how to rock the looks

Every time New York Fashion Week rolls around, beauty enthusiasts watch closely to load up on inspiration and ideas on what will be the biggest hair and makeup trends for the upcoming season. While many of the fashion shows lately have been showing off barely there makeup and natural looks, other shows have gone full-on glam. Of course, for those beauty lovers who want to take the runway looks into real life, many of these fab looks have to be interpreted differently for everyday wear.

It's always fun to change up your look and play around with the current beauty trends, so this week of inspiration gives us the push we need to switch up our basic routine. I set out on a mission to find some of the most popular NYFW makeup trends that were a little too intense and bold (at least for me!) to be walking into the office with and make them wearable so us everyday gals can enjoy runway-inspired makeup looks in our daily lives.

Neon Wash of Color at Novis
This season, neons were everywhere. At Novis, Nars lead makeup artist, Uzo, created a look that was glowing and simple everywhere then -- BAM! -- the eye color hits you and you're instantly inspired. The neon green/yellow shade brought an interesting element to an otherwise simple makeup look. But pulling off the neon makeup look IRL? Click ahead to see how it's done.

When it came to making this look more wearable, I decided to stick with the neon theme, but opt for a chartreuse shade that was bright but a little less in-your-face. I made sure to blend, blend, blend, so that the color was just a simple wash of color rather than a bold colorblocked look similar to that of the Novis show. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I dug this ethereal look and am now considering sliding more neons into my everyday routine.

White Graphic Liner at Ulla Johnson
After Tata Harper prepared the models' skin to look fresh, radiant and essentially perfect, all that was left for makeup artist Romy Soleimani to do was deck out the lower lashline with a white, extended cat eye.

White Graphic Liner IRL
To be honest, this liner wouldn't be too crazy to wear on the daily, but to be safe, I chose to pop a bold silver liner on the lid right up against my lashes rather than the lower lash line. This way it was similar to wearing a normal black liquid liner, but it looked a bit more unique as I used a silver shade instead.
