A lot of things happened this summer: Kimye made it official, we all realized how handsome soccer players are and virtually every celeb decided to ditch their old hairdo. We don't blame them. It's hard to snap out of summer mode and get back to reality refreshed and recharged for the new season, but a new haircut, hair color or hairstyle (or all of the above) usually does the trick. The Cut: Emma Stone's Flirty Bob and Bangs
Emma Stone is known for flip-flopping between blonde and redhead status (with the occasional brunette stint thrown in there), but she wowed us at the Venice Film Festival with a new cut. Stone makes a great case for skipping the lob trend altogether and going for a bona fide bob with bangs to match. The short cut not only looks fresh, but is perfect for showcasing scarves and collared outerwear as the temperatures start to cool.

The Color: Karlie Kloss' Born-With-It Blonde
In a perfect world, you'd spend the majority of your summer at the beach and your hair would magically lighten to the perfect, born-with-it shade of blonde. Well, Karlie Kloss' newest color is the next best thing. For her first foray into color (hard to believe, huh?), Kloss's stylist applied very fine highlights throughout for a natural looking and non-committal hue that will flawlessly transition into fall.

The Cut: Kaley Cuoco's Unexpected Pixie
It's hard to separate Kaley Cuoco from her "Big Bang Theory" character Penny, let alone the long blonde locks both have worn for season after season. But after keeping her hair relatively the same length for 20 years, Cuoco said she was ready for a change, and boy did she get it. This summer she cut all of her hair into a choppy pixie cut. While it left many "BBT" fans with their jaws on the floor, the low-maintenance cut is poised to make for a fashion-forward look for the new season.

It gets harder and harder to keep track of Kate Mara's hair. Just this year, she's been three different kinds of blonde, but her latest change is one of our favorites. She debuted a spicy, cinnamon-tinged asymmetrical bob at the 2014 Emmys that could not be any more perfect for fall.
