  • If you are down for treading more lightly on this fine planet of ours, welcome to the club. With a plethora of organic and eco-friendly natural beauty products, it's easier than ever to do just that.

  • We love the month of April -- when Mother Nature gives us a nice little kick in the butt. Earth Day on the 22nd reminds us that the planet and its bountiful beauty is finite. We are reminded to reduce waste, turn off the lights, conserve water, and for us beauty-product obsessed types, to support brands that are making an effort to think about the planet and our health by using sustainable farming, fair trade, and no genetically modified ingredients, chemicals or preservatives.

  • Thanks to one of my well connected family members, I got the scoop on who did Sofia Vergara's makeup for the fabulous new Diet Pepsi commercial, which makes its debut on April 18th. Here's how makeup artist Kayleen McAdams (who is also well connected -- she's Rachel McAdams' sis) created the natural, but smokin' hot makeup look...

  • "The concept behind the look was a scorching hot day on the beach so we wanted her to look glowy, sun-kissed and a little glisten-y," says McAdams. Here's how to do it:

  • So as you may know, Claire Danes is the spokesperson for Latisse, the FDA-approved prescription-only eyelash hair growth serum that costs about $120 for a 30-day supply (no problemo for movie stars like Danes). And just recently, I got a chance to speak with her about the product as well her fave skin care products and what makes her feel most beautiful.

  • When I was asked to visit the set of the NBC hit show "Community" for their "Pulp Fiction" episode, which aired last night, I jumped for makeover joy. Yeah I love the show and all (Joel McHale is the perfect hybrid of funny and smokin' hot), but I was especially excited because I knew that makeup artist, Pamela Lljubo-Obrien, would go all out to transform the cast into Tarantino's memorable characters.

  • So as it turns out Amanda Peet and I have a lot in common. She was teased about her teeth when she was younger. I was also teased about my teeth. She loves drugstore makeup and I love drugstore makeup. She barely does anything to her face (skin care routine-wise) to look flawless and gorgeous and I barely do anything to my face to look, well, presentable. She washes her hair twice a week and it looks amazing and I wash my hair twice a week and it looks -- greasy.

  • I was lucky enough to get an invite to the 4th Annual "Essence" Black Women in Hollywood event thanks to L'Oreal Paris (they were one of the sponsors), and I was truly WOWed by all of the gorgeous dark-skinned beauties in the room.

  • I only wish I was one. Unfortunately, the darkest self-tanner on the shelves wouldn't help my pasty skin glow like Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Washington, Angela Bassett or Sharon Leal's does (yes, they were all there). I'm totally envious of dark skin -- it's just sexier somehow (less vein-y and broken capillary-ridden anyway). Plus, my husband's dream celebrity hookup is Halle Berry (unfortunately she was filming in New York City and wasn't in attendance).

  • I am always interested to sneak a peek into my friends' makeup bags and bathroom cabinets. Yes, some would say that's nosy, but it's not because I want to judge their taste in eyeshadow color or steal their prescription for Vicodin, I swear.

  • I don't have much control over a lot of things in life, therefore, it makes sense I would want to make Oscar hairstyle predictions for this year's ceremony, right? Right.

  • Not only does it give me a false sense of power to dictate which celebrities should wear which hairstyles (don't worry, I'm not suggesting any of these), it's pretty much the most fun I've ever had (don't judge, we all get our kicks somehow). And while I was hit and miss with some of my predictions for last year's "Academy Awards," I think I (with the help of Photoshop) really nailed it this year.

  • I have dated some real winners and some real … well, not winners. Some went to college, some didn't. Some were good to me and some were absolutely not. So what do these men have in common besides me and the city I live in (which, by the way, made this list of the Top 10 Hottest-Guy Cities)? Well, to be honest, they all kind of looked the same. I have a type. A physical type, that is. I rarely ever date beyond the blonde, blue-eyed type.

  • Our Executive Editor has been away at New York Fashion Week running from show to show in stilettos (OK, so she really wore flat black boots, but stilettos just sound better), tweeting backstage beauty tips, and freezing her now L.A. weather-accustomed fanny off.

  • Meanwhile I've been salivating over the gorgeous makeup trends, scoffing at the Snooki-inspired hairstyle seen at Peter Som, and discovering who is sneaking into the Mercedes Benz tent. What I discovered during all of this "research" is what I really care most about is the insane, yet brilliant, nail art that’s been making news. Have you seen how absurd, amazing, downright disturbing and outrageously fun it all is?! And can you tell how excited and confused it makes me?
