Thanks to these Beauty How-Tos, I Can Finally Cross Something Off My Life's To-Do List
- Posted by Sarah on August 19, 2009 at 04:38PM

I have a few goals in life:
1. Write a novel
2. Climb to the top of Mount Wycheproof (yes it's the world's smallest mountain, but hey, I'm a realist)
3. Master the following things: messy-yet-polished wavy hair, liquid liner, and the French braid (my arch nemesis since Girl Scouts)
You may scoff at goal no. 3, but I'll argue that all those things could be very useful in my everyday life, even if they don't carry the bragging rights of scaling a cliff side.
Plus, these small goals are actually obtainable, meaning all I have to do is watch these videos below and I can cross no. 3 off my list. I feel accomplished already.
This step-by-step video shows exactly how to get that beachy waves look all the celebs wear. And it's actually really easy, who knew?
And this one demystifies liquid liner (although I still say you shouldn't try it for the first time the night of a big event, that's way too much stress)
Finally, the French braid explained. A few dozen more viewings of this video and my braid won't look like it was done by a one-handed monkey.
And OK, these two aren't actually on my life's to-do list, but they're still pretty useful:
A quick and easy updo (something every woman should have in her arsenal) and how to camouflage a pimple (everyone could use this video, unless you're one of those freaks who never gets zits)
In case I didn't cover some of the smaller goals on your life list, click here for tons more how-tos. Watch them, master the skills, then put your energy towards that novel or marathon or whatever else you've got. Man, it feels good to be productive, doesn't it?
