  • Run (don't walk) to your nearest Macy's -- they're giving away FREE beauty products!

  • Because we're all FREE obsessed (especially in this crappy economy) -- we had to share: For the next six days only, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales are giving away beauty products because of a lawsuit settlement. (This is for real!) While supplies last, you can get free stuff from Dior, Chanel, Estee Lauder (you can read reviews of their products here), Clinique (see this list of their best and worst goodies) and Lancome (yes, they are giving away mascara -- see every beauty editor's fave here).

  • Did anyone score the freebies yet?

    • I live like 100 miles from any of those places. They should\'ve offered the products through the mail too. 1 oz. of something is totally not worth it to me, I\'m sure it\'s not that great. It doesn\'t make any sense to me either why they\'re giving these high price items away. Very weird...whatever.

    • It was too easy to get the free 1 oz. bottle of Boucheron. Plus my mom picked up a Clinique Moisture Surge for me. I bet you some people went back for 2nds and 3rds or more. I saw men in line who I doubt ever bought cosmetics from the sued parties. I overheard a group of guys passing the giveaway desk say \"what the heck - it\'s free - let\'s get something for the gals\". And I overheard another group of people saying they would come back in the evening for more. Too bad they didn\'t spend the few extra bucks to ask for ID and record names & info on a computer system so duplicates wouldn\'t be handed out. I\'m sure some individuals who were entitled to a product won\'t get one.

    • Hello everyone! I don\'t read or listen to the news very often (it sometimes depresses me) so i was curious to know. What is this lawsuit all about? Can anyone please let me know? Why would a lawsuit force Macy to give away free stuff? It just seams very odd to me!!!! It doesn\'t make any sense at all and sounds way too good to be true. Is there a catch? They say that it\'s because of a \"crappy economy\" but what the heck does that have to do with and why would you just give something away for nothing just because it\'s a \"crappy economy\" Makes absolutely no sense what so ever and I for one am VERY skeptical. LOL Sincerely, VERY curious!!!!!!

    • How easy....I took my girls with me and just like the others said, they show you a list of what\'s left and put it in a bag and you\'re done. Free is always nice. Thanks for letting us know. Medford, OR

    • I say great and sure could use the make-up freebies, but what about us that live in BFE areas? But, I guess giving \"everyone\" a chance, like from the web, even if it means by using \"Postal mail\", it would make a \"bad dent\" in their economy funds. Get Real!

    • I\'ve given these lines so much business in the past, I know it is just a drop in the bucket for them. Went yesterday to my local mall right as the stores opened. You were only allowed one free item per store, so I got five items at five stores, but they were running out fast, so I suspect everything is gone now. I went for the highest valued items first. Definitely worth the time waiting, which actually went pretty fast.

    • I went to macy,s yesterday and they dnt want to advertise this special a lot, on the door there was a tiny sign saying to head in line to the east entrance of the store. I waited n a short line and they give u a list of the products being given away, whn u get to the front, they have u print and sign ur name (or wutever name u choose for the day lol). They let u know what products they have available and have ran out of, then ask for what u want. And u have ur product! I chose Clinique\'s moisture surge and used it this morning since my combo skin causes dry cheeks and I loved it and u only have to use a small amount! Get out there early!

    • It was a fun experience which I shared with my mom. However, La Cantera, North Star & Rivercenter Malls in San Antonio were almost completely out of everything they had for the week by the close of business last night (Tuesday). Apparently, most customers went on their lunch breaks and got the Coco Chanel, Ralph Lauren & other colognes. I arrived after work only to find only 1 store still had body wash, & most stores only had Estee Lauder Night Serum or Clinique Moisture Boost remaining. Even then, most stores were on their last few boxes of those two products. I\'d be really surprised to hear that anyone was able to receive products today after the ever popular lunch/shopping hour. Regardless, I am grateful for attaining whatever product I could at no charge and for the stores being very organized through what could have otherwise been complete chaos. I wish you future \"lawsuit\" shoppers luck! :)
