  • Run (don't walk) to your nearest Macy's -- they're giving away FREE beauty products!

  • Because we're all FREE obsessed (especially in this crappy economy) -- we had to share: For the next six days only, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales are giving away beauty products because of a lawsuit settlement. (This is for real!) While supplies last, you can get free stuff from Dior, Chanel, Estee Lauder (you can read reviews of their products here), Clinique (see this list of their best and worst goodies) and Lancome (yes, they are giving away mascara -- see every beauty editor's fave here).

  • Did anyone score the freebies yet?

  • Get other free stuff here

  • Avoid crowds and still save a buck with these cheapie products

    • To the woman who claims she is ENTITLED to a free product, give me a break. You know what, we are ALL ENTITLED to things in life, but it doesn`t always happen. If you are such a faithful customer to certain cosmetic counters, they will always reward good customers with little extras. I should know, I work at one. Oh, and for all of the products I`ve purchased over the years, employees weren`t allowed to partake. boo hoo.

    • I waited in line for maybe 15 mins at the Macy\'s in Valencia tonight and they still had about 6 products to choose from. I am a clinique girl so I took a jar of the moisture surge :)

    • For those who are product junkies and spend money every year on high-end makeup just go to your nearest Sephora store and sign up for their Beauty Insider card (for every $100 you spend you get a free gift plus you get a set of lipglosses or a shower gel for your birthday) . You\'ll get free stuff all the time, plus discount coupons at holiday time, and invites to their special events (where you\'ll get more free stuff). You won\'t have to wait for a class-action lawsuit for freebies. For those who complain because they didn\'t get to the mall in time for the freebies at the department store all I have to say is that you should know better...the early bird gets the worm...and people are vultures when it comes to free stuff. Over the holidays a man was trampled to death by a rush of people trying to get into a store (I forgot which one) because they wanted to get to the Black Friday sales. This is the culture we live in unfortunately. If you didn\'t get your free item, guess what? You can live without it! It\'s just cosmetics....

    • After I read here, I went to Macy\'s and they still had 3 products: the clinique one (moisture surge), estee lauder\'s advanced night repair and one from clarins. No line, no wait. I wonder if somebody really went to Sak\'s because I want to try over there tomorrow in the morning.

    • 6 days my butt! My husband and I went last night (the first night) to go ATTEMPT to pick out something after I got off work. After the (literal) THOUSANDS of dollars I\'ve spent on high end makeup and the dozens of fragrances my husband has purchased in the past few years, we figured that we were more than entitled to this. Sadly, there were THREE items left (with a dozen people in line in front of us) of all of the supposed thousands of products that they supposedly gave to each store in larger areas and they were all shower gels. What a waste. What kind of a joke did they pull with this \"settlement\"? I signed up for the settlement LONG ago and it should have only been open to the people signed up for it, NOT the general public looking for freebies that have probably never purchased a single high end cosmetic item. In a town of more than 200,000 people, there should have been more available if they were making it available to everyone. They\'re certainly getting a letter about this. I\'m sure it won\'t matter, but if everyone that got screwed by this actually said something, they might do something about it (yeah, right).

    • I went to Macy\'s in the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl early afternoon. The line was clear out the door. They had a person asking if you wanted a free beauty product when you came in the door. I received an e-mail about the settlement but it was unfair because the goods went to whoever was in the store at the time and everything went very quickly! I did score the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Body Lotion and felt lucky! My sister waited until later that evening to go to another Macy\'s in another area and all they had left was Estee Lauder night cream. I\'m sure the people who should have received the products did not get any and there could have been a better way of dspensing the products so that others who were part of the settlement could have benefitted!

    • The products were gone within hours. A silly settlement, as young girls who were definitely not using makeup during the lawsuit period were lining up for the freebies. I saw men in line for women\'s cosmetics, people getting their score, then RUNNING to other participating stores in the mall. It was merely an exercise in judicial punishment. The people who were actually \"cheated\" under the grounds of the lawsuit probably benefitted very little.

    • I love freebies, and Macy\'s freebies are always fabulous! The only mall I live nearby has a Macy\'s and Herbergers only, but Herbergers rarely ever seems to have sales, and Macy\'s is one of my favorite stores in the mall.. That being said, I will probably be there when it opens to get my free stuff.

    • I heard about the lawsuit on the news on Monday night, but I forgot about it. My sister called to tell me about it yesterday afternoon and said the Lancome mascara is one of the products they are giving away. I went to Macy\'s at lunch time. There was a long line but it went quickly. The Boucheron and Calvin Klein cosmetics were sold out but Vera Wang Princess body lotion was available. Sarah Jessica Parker shower gel, sunscreen (don\'t know who the manufacturer is), some Clarins products and the Lancome mascara was available too. I took the Lancome Mascara. There was a girl that immediately opened the mascara and started to apply it in a nearby mirror. I asked to see how it looked and her one eye with the mascara was absolutely beautiful. It was such a big difference. I can\'t wait to use the mascara myself!
