While not a complete hair virgin (I\'ve played with temporary dyes), I\'ve never had professional coloring before either. My mother has been suggesting highlights for a long time now, and I finally decided, why not? I naturally get blonde & red highlights from the sun and always wanted to be a redhead (was strawberry blonde for a while when I was 2), so I asked the professional hair dude, what do you think about red? The hair dude said no no no, blonde. Well - I like what he does with my friend\'s hair so okay. He\'s the expert. Not wanting to look completely artificial, I asked for subtle. Well a very long time and a lot of tinfoil later (and a little over $200 for the cut & color), it was done. No more hair virgin. And its subtle. You can barely see it! Looks about the same as before. Maybe a little too subtle for $200? Yours looks really nice. Brightens your hair and looks natural. Yours looks like how I imagined mine would turn out. I think if I ever do it again (doubtful) I\'ll insist on red.
