Kelly Clarkson's Self Cover Photoshopped

As you may have heard, many people are fuming about Kelly Clarkson's cover shot on the September issue of "Self Magazine." Why? Because the fitness mag altered Clarkson's picture to make her look significantly slimmer than she actually is, and admitted to it! Check out Self editor-in-chief Lucy Danziger's response to the drama.
Photoshopping is rampant throughout magazines, ads and the Internet, so why is everyone so angry? This time, readers say, it is because of the hypocrisy of a magazine that is all about fitness and encourages "total body confidence" on the same September cover.
Whether "Self" has the same right to alter photos, or this is a huge no-no, we're on Kelly's side. This gal knows how to rock out with confidence, and that's what makes her a true beauty. Besides, she seems to be the least concerned with her weight! "When people talk about my weight, I'm like, 'You seem to have a problem with it; I don't. I'm fine!'" Clarkson says in the same article. "I'm never trying to lose weight -- or gain it. I'm just being!"
It seems "Bazaar" agrees with Clarkson's refreshing outlook. For their September issue, they photographed eight supermodels without ANY makeup. And surprise, surprise -- they look gorgeous!
At Total Beauty, we LOVE our hair and makeup products. But we also know the key to beauty is not always looking flawless -- it's your attitude! So step out with some serious confidence and you'll be a natural beauty.
Want to look like the Bazaar models, but not ready to lose the concealer? Check out this natural-looking makeup tutorial.
Like Kelly, a little confidence and the right style makes any body type look fab. Fake a few pounds away with the right haircut and other style secrets.

When the magazine first came out, I called privately called it \"Selfish\" because it seemed to be all about the outer self. While there were a few articles about developing spiritually and emotionally, most of it is about outward appearances. Now here they are photoshopping away a woman\'s real appearance because they know that showing her as she is wouldn\'t sell magazines and that is really what it is all about - their bottom line. Shame on you Self, you are still \"Selfish\" in my mind!
