  • It's such a simple question, but with so many answers. I have friends that spend upwards of $200 on a hair cut, and others who wouldn't fork over more than $20 -- including tip. Me? I don't pay anything (one of the perks of having a mom who's a licensed cosmetologist).

  • When we asked TotalBeauty.com readers how much they pay for hair cuts, we got a ton of varied responses:

  • "I've had my hair different lengths and the most I've ever paid for a cut is $20." -- snowbunny

  • "The most I paid was like $35 at Mario Triccoci. I live in the Chicago suburbs. When I did have a job I was paying about $25 and now that I am laid off I am doing my hair at Hair Cuttery for about $13." -- bunny72

  • "My haircut costs me around $50, and I have long hair. I keep hearing that they generally charge more for long hair than they would for the same cut on short hair." -- eminatic

  • "My $90 haircut sucked as much as my $15 cut. So I'm growing my hair out until I find someone that actually listens when I tell them what I want." -- DarklyDreaming

    • I think that more than 25$ is ridiculous. I\'m sure that there are some places that charge a ridiculous price for a bad haircut, but there are also places that cut your hair at a low cost.
