High-End Beauty Products -- From a Vending Machine?
- Posted by Kristen on April 24, 2009 at 03:01PM

Last night the Total Beauty crew attended a launch party at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, Calif. for U*tique Shop, a new luxury beauty product vending machine. See the machine above, pretty snazzy-looking, huh?
CEO and founder Mara Segal, who unveiled the upscale vending machine, plans to roll them out to airports and hotels across the country. I guess it makes since -- we do already have vending machines for iPods ...
I must admit that I'm a bit skeptical as to whether women will splurge on expensive products while on the go. I guess if we're desperate enough for the eye cream we left at home or need a last-minute gift for someone we're about to visit, we'd make a purchase. Otherwise I'd probably hold out and hit CVS for awesome, cheap products like these.
What do you think? Would you buy a $60 beauty product out of a vending machine -- even if it looked as cool as the one pictured?

I have sensitive skin. I\'ll buy products, try them, and if they don\'t work or cause skin problems (breakouts, etc) - I return them. How do you return something from a vending machine? Could be a bad splurge!
