Sunscreen needs to be applied to the entire body. That includes smaller areas that we might not consider like the ears, the back of the neck and, of course, lips. The skin on our lips is especially thin, so it's important to always use an SPF lip product to avoid burns in the summer.

In the winter, we have no trouble remembering to slather on lip balm to keep lips looking their pouty best, but we somehow completely forget about protecting them from the summer sun. Thankfully, there's no need to trade your favorite lipstick or gloss for a basic SPF lip balm as there are plenty of protective lip products that have a kiss of color, gorgeous finishes and incredible formulas. (And if you still can't give up your favorite lippie, you can always layer on a lip balm with SPF.)
