Crinogen Advanced Hair Therapy, $85

This product, which boasts "all-natural" ingredients like saw palmetto and zinc claims to block the conversion of female hormones into DHT. Plus, it has ginkgo biloba in it, which has been shown to affect the amount of blood that's delivered to hair follicles. It may stop hair loss, but its effects are not yet proven. Nonetheless, it might be worth a shot. Spray it onto balding areas two or three times a day.

I'm glad this article mentions getting thyroid levels checked. Thyroid disease is a very common underlying cause of many symptoms including hair loss. The good news is it's easily detectable and treatable.

Biotin is AMAZING! It not only helps with hair growth but it strengthens my nails. I also have to recommend viviscal, they have pills for hair thinning. I don't have that problem but I take the other set of pills of viviscal for hair repair and they have helped, not only with my hair but my eyelashes have grown longer. An amazing side effect!

Another great article. Adequate protein is also essential. It's easy to get enough protein if you eat animal products. If you go vegan you have to put a bit more effort into getting enough.

hair only grows a half inch a month if you are malnourished. The "old" saying of an inch per month is still true if you get adequate nutrition (nutrition does not = calories, but nutritional content of food) in what you eat on a regular basis.

Besides Rogaine or hair replacements, there really isn't anything else that works on thinning hair. Research carefully if you decide to try one of these very pricey or "natural" products. This is a real worrisome problem for many women, young and more mature.

Just rub garlic on your scalp and wash it off in a few hours... I don't think using heavy chemicals will help..it can actually damage your scalp even more. And for thin hair make a mask using plain yogurt, olive oil and avocados...those nourish hair better than anything else.

If you've a thyroid dysfunction (hypo/hyperthyroidism) you'll for sure have hair loss. Better check for it in case because I do have the problem. Iron intake sure helps too for hair loss.

Not to put my biznezz in da streets (as they say)..but as a MS patient with severe iron issues and slight hair loss. My doctor told me to increase my iron intake through fruits and veggies. Biotin is is good, but iron is better, increase your iron in take through fruits and veggies and thing will turn around.
