Bangs cover a multitude of sins, from blemishes in young years to wrinkles in old. I'm loving the chipped, whispy yet full bangs I have. They do soften my jawline as well.

I think the author looks great both with and without bangs -- and I'm hoping her next article is about how to apply eyeliner like she does, because I like that too. :) Every hairstyle I've had since midway through college has had bangs -- they help soften my square face.

I do not recommend getting bangs if you have to heat style them everyday! Mine got so damaged, and took me YEARS to grow out!!!!

I think the clip in bangs are such a great idea! It's a big hair comitment because bangs take forever to grow out, and you have to go through all the in-between stages. I recently got bangs and I regret it about 50% of the time. I think that the beauty and hair industry has been extremely innovative and there are so many things that can be done with the clip on extensions, bangs, etc that helps all those awful stages of growing out your hair. But, bangs are in and hair grows back for those of us who don't have the $$$ to pay for extenstions.

I was told the reason bangs didn't work for me is that my forehead was too small. Actually, it's about average (maybe just a wee bit smaller than normal), however, Jose Eber once wrote ANYONE can have bangs as long as they are cut from the crown. However, I have never liked myself with bangs, but I love them. I'm not sure what the problem is. If ANYONE has an info that might help, it would be most appreciated! Thanks all! I have had bangs/Fringe for pretty much my whole life except for now. I have missed having some fringe and honestly, I think Fringe really brings out a haircut! I have been contemplating on getting some big Boho ones! Those type of bangs are very versatile, so that is why I am considering it!

If you have hair that you need to heat style daily (I straighten every day) do not get bangs! They will get so damaged! I am still, years later, trying to grow mine out!

I had bangs a few times and I have very straight hair, which needed a lot of products with strength to keep it off my face. It was annoying because I rarely got hair cuts, so I had to cut them back myself. It also was a pain to grow out. If you have hair with some body, I do like how you can style it away from your face. Mine would only work with a perm and I only had that once. If you wear glasses, then when it grows out, you may find it gets caught in them or constantly in your eyes. Some people look really good in that style though. I can't stand when it sticks to your forehead because you are sweaty.

I've had side bangs for the last six years - basically as long as I've been allowed to make that decision for myself. I hate my forehead; I would never, ever go without.

I think without bangs is better. Real bangs is a huge commitment, and isn't something that looks good on everyone. Though certain people look amazing with a heavy fringe.

That is an awesome easy way to get bangs whenever you want them. I bit the bullet a couple of years ago and love my blunt cut bangs.
