Petal pink lips While pink lipstick has been a go-to for ages, pastel pink is a totally different look -- and one that can be a bit trickier to wear well. "The pastel pink lip needs to be the focus, so make sure nothing else competes," says Rodriguez. Here's how to get the look:
Eyes: Apply a slight wash of pastel pink eyeshadow all across your lid. Then apply a thin line of black eyeliner on your upper lashline. Curl lashes and wear three coats of black mascara. "Mascara makes the overall look very pretty," says Rodriguez.
Cheeks: Wear light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks.
Lips: Apply a light layer of foundation onto your lips to remove any darker pink pigments. Then apply a pastel pink lipstick, like MAC Lipstick in Saint Germain, $14.50, or CoverGirl Queen Collection Lip Color in Powderpuff Pink, $6.99.
