The 23 Worst Anti-Aging Skin Care Products
Readers say these anti-aging skin care products are just expensive moisturizers (at best) -- ouch
No. 22: L'Oreal Paris RevitaLift Complete Lotion SPF 15, $16.59
TotalBeauty.com average member rating: 6*
Why: Readers say the product irritated their skin making it "red and itchy, which negates any beneficial ingredients in it." Another says, "I tried using this once and had to stop, [because it made my] face start to itch and feel dry." One woman says "the worst part was that it didn't truly sink into my skin -- when I touch my face, the lotion balls up and rolls off!! Gross. I washed it off right away. Overall, this isn't a product worth paying for." Another reader agrees saying, "there are much better skin care choices on the drugstore shelf."

I agree about hope in a jar... I HATED it! But Ole Henriksen... really? I love the truth serum. Use it daily, and see a differene in my skin when I forget to use it.

I TELL YOU WHAT. THIS IS VERY INTERESTING STUFF. SOME THINGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE AND DON'T DO NOTHING BUT TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I HAVE LEARNED FROM EXPERIENCE THAT BECAUSE IT IS EXPENSIVE AND A CELEBRITY ENDORSES IT DOESN'T MEAN A THING. NO TELLING HOW MUCH THEY GET PAID TO SAY ALL THAT STUFF. 9 OUT OF 10 TIMES THE LESS EXPENSIVE STUFF WORKS AS WELL OR BETTER. I LEARNED A LONG TIME AGO THAT CHEAP OLIVE OIL, THE EXTRA LIGHT OR EXTRA VIRGIN, IS A GREAT MOISTURIZER FOR YOUR FACE AND WHOLE BODY. MATTER OF FACT, THEY HAVE A DOLLAR GENERAL STORE THAT I CAN THROW A ROCK AND HIT FROM MY HOUSE, AND THEY GAVE OLIVE OIL FOR $1 A BOTTLE. I BUY THAT AND USE IT FOR COOKING AND SKIN AND FACE MOISTURIZER AND IT IS BETTER THAN ANY OVERPRICED OVER RATED MOISTURIZER.

I agree with a # of these. Interesting how many of these were eye creams - I think that is one of the hardest products to find that really works. I do however like the boost of Vit C in Ole Hendrikensen's Truth Serum. It does help brighten my skin.

Yikes! I just bought the kit of these products and received its today. I read raving review of this serum other places and was excited to use it. Now... oh well. I am older so don't think my skin will break out!

I know there are no miracle cures for my acne prone, aging skin, but I do like to find quality products, that are good for me, and expect to wait 90 days for most products to show their effectiveness. Our skin only turns over once every 60 days so it would stand to reason that at least that much time is needed to see any difference. This story proves that cheap or pricey, some work and some don't. Thank you for this informative story!

Glad to know that those super expensive creams don't work. Now I will not spend my hard earned $$$$ on junk.
