Why: "Over time, I started to develop an allergic reaction to the product. My lips got a fine rash, and the rash further developed into tiny scabs," says a reader. Another adds, "I bought this product because of its cheap price and because friends of mine had it. However, I was pretty disappointed with it. It does taste good and is very glossy, but it dried out my lips pretty bad. I thought applying more lip gloss would fix the problem, but it only made it worse. Definitely not a good buy."

The Bobbi Brown gloss was what turned me off of lipgloss years ago. It left my lips with a frosty white film and it dried my lips. I was very disappointed because it had looked pretty in the package. Wish I would have read this before purchasing.

Have to agree with the other critics. From experience CG lip glosses stink!! They are all horrible consistency, don't deliver the color they show, and are just as crazy priced as other EXCELLENT quality lip glosses.

I like the ELF plumping lip glaze. Oasis is the best color. I also like the NYC glosses. HMM not sure how I feel about this list. But I do agree for the CG lipglosses. Never been a fan of them.

Ughh..tried a lot of those and had similar experiences. From ELF I do recommend the Luscious Liquid Lipstick..it's amazing. The Hypershine gloss is good, but has a funny smell to me..

Wow, I was surprised Bobbi Brown and MUFE made this list! Never tried both but was about too, good thing I read this first! I actually like how the NYC glosses look, best applied with a lip brush though bc they can be very goopy.

CG products are just digusting. I have to say the all time worst makeup brand would be a tie between Bonne Bell and NYC. Both brands make cheap disgusting products. My fav glosses are Clinique's Super Balm and Liplicious from B&BW.

I agree with the statement that nearly all Covergirl products suck. I like NYC for affordable glosses and MAC for higher end. As a MAC junkie people are always surprised because I HATE MAC lipglass. It's way too sticky.

I love urban decay's pocketrocket & tokidoki lip glosses. NYC's lip gloss in strawberry is kind of yummy and shiny for such a cheap price though. I hate the packaging & pigmentation of stila but the formula & taste is great. Lorac multiplex in 3d is a beautiful color with good staying power but not a fabulous taste. I like all lip gloss just a little bit I guess lol
