I personally love hair extensions, if they're done right. There's nothing worse then tracks showing across your head! I bought mine at a store that specifically sells high-end hair products. They were expensive but i've had then for three years now and they're still in fantastic condition... My hair is long enough now that I don't need them, but on a night out it's great to add some volume!
