Works on: Medium to long hairWhat you'll need:
•Flatiron (try TIGI Bed Head Straightener)
•Teasing comb or small-toothed comb (try Ulta Styling Comb with Lift, $2.75)
•Headband (Dominique Duval Skinny Girl Headband with Four Leaf Clover, $90)
•Hairspray (try Aveda Air Control Hair Spray, or John Frieda Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm-Hold Hairspray, $5.49
How to:
•Step 1: Flatiron hair, making ends straight. (See photo)
•Step 2: Back comb (tease) hair starting about three inches above the nape of the neck and ending at the crown until desired height is achieved.
•Step 3: Smooth over the top layer of the teased area with a brush to hide the backcombing.
•Step 4: Slide on a jeweled headband.
•Step 5: Pin sides of hair back (the area on the sides of your crown) using one small bobby pin on each side to create a nice, non-poufy shape from the front. Make sure the pins are well hidden. (See photo.)
