Although there are some great flat irons listed I was shocked that several were missing. Remington? I could list like 5 right off the top of my head that I would say beat a few of the flat irons on this list that cost much more. For low to mid price they are a steal. HSI? This is a amazing flat iron for about 50 bucks. I used mine a great deal favoring it over several pricey Chi models. Without question the absolute best flat iron I have used is the Hana Professional. It totally eliminates frizz and leaves any hair silky smooth and shiny. I have not seen anything that comes close. Believe they hype, it's all true.

I have become a loyal fan of the Karmin G3 salon pro styling iron. It's just been such a success at my salon! The pure tourmaline and ceramic plates along with the great heating has really shown its quality!

I have a Karmin G3 Salon Pro Styling Iron and it was such a good idea to invest in a professional flat iron! The plates are pure ceramic tourmaline and they go up to 460F so they work on all hair types. Great flat iron!

I am still Undecided , I heard Chi's stop working within 3 months of purchase , & I heard Ghd's are not that great either . I use to have a Remington wet to straight flat iron and it was crap. It left my hair greasy and not straight

I almost purchased the conair shiny styles, thank goodness I didn't waste my money on that. I wouldn't have thrown it away though, I would have taken it back for a refund so I could get a better one.

If you want a professional hair straightener and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, 3 year warranty, pure tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair. Good luck and I hope this helps.

i do hair and have curly hair and never use the chi anymore because they are crap! they break way to much and the best flat iron i have ever used isn't even on the list at al which is the paul mitchell. they don't even make the wee chi anymore i have one that is broke and they couldn't replace it they told me they no longer made it. it lasted maybe a month!

I do LOVE my CHI straightner, it has proven itself a-mazing. a bit on the expensive side, however as much as I straighten my hair, it was TOTALLY worth it. If you are looking for a great straightener that is cheaper in price without sacrificing greatness, I would suggest going to a Sally Beauty Supply store and trying a Helen of Troy or a Plugged brand flat iron.
