I like a little known brand called SMMBeauty. It covers well, doesn't have bismuth in it, is all minerals, no additives. Very affordable.

Any mineral makeup with parabens causes skin irritations. Best foundations I use is Laura Mercier mineral primer, Young Blood liquid mineral foundation and Young Blood rice powder over. Good coverage for my 60 year old skin.

Be careful with mineral make up! I have the farthest thing from sensitive skin but bareMinerals made me want to scratch my face off. Sounds dramatic? It was horrible. Go the Arbonne route with this. The coverage is flawless and colors are wonderful.

#1 choice for mineral make-up is Jane Iredale, and #2 is Glo Minerals all the way! The ONLY mineral makeups I use as a licensed esthetician when doing makeup applications on the face, with the exception of maybe some eye shadows! Just make sure your mineral makeup doesn't include the ingredient TALC! It is a mineral, but it the main ingredient to avoid and some "mineral makeups will trick you" they make you think it is safe just because it's a mineral makeup, but if Talc is one of the minerals then you do not want it!

I have tried bare minerals and glo. Bare minerals really doesn't cover much. Its great if you dont have any problems with your skin. If you have acne and scars you should go with glo minerals. Its a bit more pricey but it gives a much better coverage and doesn't leave you shinny through out the day like bare minerals!

I have to agree with this moneral makeup stuff! It does not give you that 'air brushed' look that's for sure! Although I do love the eyeliner,eyeshadow, and bronzer. I have a few laugh lines and am getting fairly large pores and the only thing that the foundation does is make them stand out even more, LOL! Unless I am doing it wrong and if I am someone please tell me what to do!

Lancome's mineral powder is great. I have dry combo skin and its awesome. I have their brush as well. Its a lil pricey but you dont need allott and it stays all day!

I'm surprised there isn't anything on Everyday Minerals on there. They used to have a big following until all the strange changes started happening. There are also other good Mineral makeup companies out there like Silk Naturals, Adorned with Grace and Lucy Minerals. There are so many other good companies out there with pretty good products.

Most of these mineral powders don't work for me because they contain that stupid Bismuth Powder or Mica. I have super oily skin, so they look AWFUL on me, and most mineral powders make my skin itch too. I found a really good clear powder called Mattify! Ultra Powder. It soaks up the oil on my face for about 4 hours and I wear it under & over my regular liquid foundation. But, am still looking for a matte colored mineral powder that doesn't get all cakey and oily looking on my skin like Bare Escentuals does. From what I've tried, minerals just don't work for oily skin.
