The worst experience TotalBeauty.com reader Becky had at a salon was when she went in for a perm. "The gal walked off and ignored me. I tried to call her over, but by the time she came back, she burnt me bald. I had long hair past my waist when I walked in, and it took three months before I had enough hair to get a boy cut."

YIKES! I'm grateful that I never encountered such cruelty. I would have pressed charges in some of those terrible cases.

Do these people not know that if they continue being rude to customers that they will soon go out of business? Women talk. Free conditioner for a chemical burn? That's not going to cut it.

my big toes bleed often when i get pedicures. there are so many lousy technicians out there. now, i have found a good technician who is gentle on my cuticles and i stick to her. i also remember a hair stylist who gave me a mullet when i specifically asked for just a trim with layers at the front. so frustrating.

I once went in to get my hair colored and the stylist didn't close the bottle of dye. She ruined my shirt and got dye in my eye, which I ended up having to go to the hospital for. My consolation prize? A small jar of deep-conditioner. I still had to pay for the service.
