During a routine hair color appointment, Ann, a TotalBeauty.com reader, expected a rich chocolate shade and got a bright orange hue. When she returned to the salon to have someone else correct the mistake, the salon insisted she pay again.

YIKES! I'm grateful that I never encountered such cruelty. I would have pressed charges in some of those terrible cases.

Do these people not know that if they continue being rude to customers that they will soon go out of business? Women talk. Free conditioner for a chemical burn? That's not going to cut it.

my big toes bleed often when i get pedicures. there are so many lousy technicians out there. now, i have found a good technician who is gentle on my cuticles and i stick to her. i also remember a hair stylist who gave me a mullet when i specifically asked for just a trim with layers at the front. so frustrating.

I once went in to get my hair colored and the stylist didn't close the bottle of dye. She ruined my shirt and got dye in my eye, which I ended up having to go to the hospital for. My consolation prize? A small jar of deep-conditioner. I still had to pay for the service.
