No. 8: Bad Color Blocking Ugh, this really is a trend that needs to die. Large chunks of bleached hair paired with jet black underneath, who can actually pull that off? Many have tried (like these celebs) but none that I know of have succeeded.
sideswept bangs look overgrown. They are when they are too long to have naturally over your forehead and too short to pull back. The other styles are what they are. I think most are OK except the black and blonde look, ugh.
ok all of the good looking, low maintenance hair styles have been mentioned
what in the world are we supposed to wear then? >,>
let the girl wear her braid and pin-straight hair
the poorly done color-blocking and poof have got to go but if long layers work then rock that style
What about naturally straight or wavy hair. Those aren't exactly styles, that's just how people's hair is naturally. Kind of messed up. I didn't understand the point of this article. I thought it was going to be more like "dumb hair trends" but side bangs are dumb now because too many people are sick of them... lol how about Over teasing hair and wearing obvious wigs everyday like some stars do for attention. I'm with bukiyounahito on this one
How about layered over-styled waves? Those are the worst...
Most styles here are actually very nice and convenient for every-day use (except for bad coloring and extensions)
So pin straight hair is out - so are waves? Long layers - and bobs? What's left? I've got sort of Victoria Beckham's bob, though it's more like Rihanna's asymmetrical style, myself. Totally agree with the extensions and color blocking though, it's usually done badly.
Certain people look in it while certain others not. So it is best to stick with what looks are best. Ofcourse if getting bored with all these hairstyles doesn't leave us any great hairstyles to try with.
I wouldn't say I'm tired of seeing these. A lot of people do have side-swept bangs though, myself included, and they look good. All of these look good on certain people and just because they're common doesn't mean that I'm tired of seeing them. I rather see them a lot than see a bunch of ugly haircuts. I do dislike seeing pouffy hairstyles and the block dye though. The pouffy puff reminds me of Barbie; kind of fake and plastic-girl-look, honestly. It can look cute... if you're just a girl. If you're a teenager or up, it looks a bit juvenile. The block dye just makes me shudder because there's so much dye and it really does not look that good. But I'm not tired of them; I just don't like them.
If a hairstyle works, I say stay with it. A girlfriend of mine changes her hairstyle to "stay fresh." So while she's looking different, she's not looking her best. Find out what looks flattering on you and stay with it to always look your best.
i concur the article is another winner .....NOT. if we remove these hairstyles what else is left? i also have naturally baby fine smooth straight hair that doesnt hold curl etc. ive come to accept it trying to achieve other textures only damages my already thin hair and i cant risk ruining it when theres so little to work with....how about they give us ideas then to replace these old styles....btw i clicked on a few of the "then try these" things in the articles...doesnt even tske you to what it says
Pin-straight hair is all I've had since I was a child.. It's blonde, it's baby-fine, and wouldn't hold a wave/curl/etc. if you held a gun or hairstylist to it. Some of us have no choices at all...if you can style your hair differently than anything-consider yourself blessed, be-atches! LOL ps-I'm 46 years old
i do not care care what you say about side swept bangs i love them and am not going to get rid of them because YOU dont like them. like im going to beilieve some stupid article. losers listen to stuff like this but im not.
i agree with most of the other women.......you are practically sick of everything except...no hair at all. i think you should probably revise what you are sick of, most women have at least 1 of these hair styles.
Okay, here's one that I am sick of and it isn't mentioned, but I am seeing it EVERYWHERE! The Kate Gosslin pre-extension cut. Long in front and spiky top. Ugh. She couldn't even pull it off, yet I see women EVERYWHERE still sporting it. Apparently they don't own a mirror! This one should have made the list.
So I have a question....what hairstyle IS OK to wear then? According to this, every hairstyle is bad and has been condemned...what the heck else are we supposed to do then? Shave our heads? There are only so many hairstyles we have...and now they're all overkill? We do we wear them...because we think they make us look good, and if we have the confindence to wear that hairstyle, we tell us we look ugly? Get over it.
I completely agree that the pouff on top, blonde highlights, obvious hair extensions and pin straight hair are completely overdone. My sister, a stylist, has had them all. The thing is, none of them are flattering to most women. The pouffs just make your head look oddly shaped. Not everyone looks good as a blonde. Pin straight flat-ironed hair makes you look like you hardly have any hair. And who wants to wear extensions just to have everyone think "Her hair is fake." Also, the sideswept bangs would always be in your eyes. Who needs that aggravation. I am an advocate of finding a style that actually looks good on you. And working with your own haircolor, not changing it too drastically. I think every woman that does those two things is going to have the best looking, least damaged hair she can get.
What is with the strands of hair on each side of the face.....who said that was a fashion statement? It is ugly!!! Slopopy! No one looks good in it and everyone that wears it is always tucking or pushing them back or out of their eyes.....PLEASE, some hairdresser in Hollywood....change this trend!!!!!
I looked at Try a New Look. So we should wear ratty looking pony tails, little boy hair, sloppy looking or over the top updos, and ballarina buns. Yuck!!! I'm sorry I'll keep my current do. 80's hair hair? Get real!!!
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!! This are the hair cuts that work for just about every girl in the world....people that are "sick" of this hairstyles are haters that have tryed them all with NO success..... The hairstyles that we should all be sick of is definitely Kate Gosselin's, Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga.
Let's see...my options seem to be an Annie Lennox crew-cut, mo-hawk, a Kate Gosselin-style hot mess or perhaps some serious Rasta dreads...nice! Thanks for the uber-lame advice. Thise article would have been better titled "Great Hairstyles that work for Almost Anyone."
. . . If you're sick these styles . . . fix your hair a different way (assuming that there is anything left for you to choose from). These are classic styles. It really isn't shocking that people run to them. If I shaved my head, left a patch on the side, then dyed it blue, you'd be writing about how ridiculous I look. What's next? You're sick of foundation and eyeliner?
FYI - Nicole Richie is black (and identifies herself as such), even though she's light skinned. Since only 15% of the U.S. population is black or mixed race, one of eleven celebs is pretty on-par with the population at large.
