Great article! Yes, this option is really for the adventurous woman. But as a young-at-heart, happy and confident woman, I would love and feel very comfortable with a few strands of a pretty violet color ( not necessarily neon) tucked into my long black hair. At 41, I'm still rockin' my Adidas Gazelles and will NEVER apologize for it. It's all about personal style and expression. I may just take the plunge after reading this!

I like the bright colors. I have done pink, purple, fire red. I just turned 30. I still find it fun. But I\'m also a hairstylist so it\'s easy to switch styles to keep things edgy.

Very cool, I don't think there is anything wrong with having 'unatural' colours in your hair after 30. It shouldn't matter what age you are. If you want pink hair, then go ahead and do it, and work it!

These ideas only seem to work if you're already blonde. I'm not going to bleach out my naturally dark hair which immediately damages it, all so the color I choose stands out more. I'm not worried about it being age appropriate.

Please! Madonna is continually proving the fact that when you get to be a certain age there are just some things you shouldn't do or wear. This is one of them. (although, based on what I continue to see on this site, if you have straight, blonde hair you can do just about anything...).

Eh, it's like a lot of stuff in fashion and beauty. If you're up to it and feel comfortable trying it, you're likely to pull it off whether you're in your teens or your 40's (or older). I've been dying my hair purple the last several months after wanting to do so since high school. I like it and I'm getting compliments. I'm wondering why I waited. I can though, easily see why this or any of many other trends wouldn't be for everyone. I still regret my time as a blond and some of my hair cuts.

I don't get this hair trend. Seems like stylists are getting desperate to invent something new and hot. I don't think these looks work outside a model/pop-star world. Real ladies wearing neon in their hair end up looking like they're stuck in teenage-bad-experiments-with-looks stage or like strippers.

I personally don't think women in their 30's or older should be wearing neon hair colors at all. This is an adorable trend, but best suited for those in their teens or twenties. I think even 25 and older is a little old for this look. Don't get me wrong, I think it's adorable, but there are age appropriate looks for a reason. There is a cut off point when we women need to stop trying so hard to keep the grasp on or twenties. Time to let go!!!
