These pro makeup and hair tips will let your natural beauty shine through
Soft twist A soft updo like Blake Lively's is styled yet still looks effortless. See how to get the look yourself with tips from Abby Schlenger from the Marie Robinson Salon in New York City:
Step 1: Spray hair with a texturizer like KMS California Hair Play Sea Salt Spray, $12.99.
Step 2: Tease hair lightly from root to ends to create texture. Then, run your fingers through your hair.
Step 3: Tie all your hair into a high ponytail with an elastic.
Step 4: Work with small sections of the ponytail, wrapping them around the elastic and securing them haphazardly with pins at the base. Allow loose ends to fall naturally.
Step 5: Pull hair out of the ponytail to frame the face and finish the perfect "messy on purpose" look.
