Mastering the Art of False Eyelashes

Golden lash glue rule: Be patient Always wave your lashes in the air after applying lash glue to give the strip a little tackiness before applying. (I like to use Duo Eyelash Adhesive, $8.) Since lash glue takes about a minute or two to dry (don't worry, it will turn from white to clear), you have that time in which to set the lashes correctly on your lid. Use your tweezers or application tool to tap them gently from above and below if you need to tilt them uniformly before the glue dries.

Really good tips shared :) However, it all depends on the glue that you get in your country. In my place here, the glue dries really fast, and I don't have to wait for it dry at all. The trickiest part of putting false lashes is to stick it near your own eyeslashes, but not on it.

Duo has TWO different formulas. One (the blue and white package) dries CLEAR. The other (pink and white) dries dark. Not completely black, but it dries more like a very dark black/brown. You can find either DUO formulas together where they sell Duo (at Sally's, Sephora, etc).

I saw a tutorial where the make up artist was using black eye lash glue. Although the white glue does dry clear, I would prefer the black if I knew where to buy it.

I have never seen such easy instructions for applying false eyelashes! I have only used them on Halloween but, now my once long and full lashes aren't so long or full anymore I think I might try these. I love the look of the Ardell InvisiBands. Thank you so much!

Some useful information, but I was expecting some help in HOW to apply the lashes (beyond waving them around for a few seconds, which isn't even long enough to get most lash glues tacky). Hopefully the video will have more helpful info.

False lashes never look real! Did anyone read about the Covergirl Taylor Swift commercial controversy? Where people were upset because the mascara ad used enhanced lashes or digitally enhanced them? Do it make sense to target Swift's ad when ever single mascara ad either has false lashes or digital enhancement? none of the models had natural lashes!

Actually, I put on some mascara prior to application, and some more afterwards. I found that it also helps "blend" your real lashes and the fake lashes.
