Lately I have been bumping up my red lipstick collection and I find that Loreal British Red works just a well on my nw45 skin as my nw 20 clients. Article did seem a bit dated though ... overall ok.

I have some serious mixed emotions about this list. Off the bat the Smokey Shadow Blast? Seriously? I have that item in Silver / Black and Green / Brown. The Silver end broke after about 5 applications. Also, I find the item to be hard to spread onto my lids. The Wet n Wild e/s are good but you definitely need a primer since they are rather powdery. The Physicians Formula Cream Liner seems pretty interesting - I've yet to try that. I'm really curious about the Milani Gloss Pencil. I have a few of their other cosmetics and I'm a huge fan. I can't wait to try that product out - for sure!

I really appreciate the recommendation of the red lipcolour by L'Oreal. A good red tone is difficult to find. The reds with the blueish undertones also help your teeth to look a little brighter for a whiter smile. Ive tried the Covergirl Smoky ShadowBlast and have not been impressed enough to continue using it so I am surprised to see it made the list. I also love the Maybelline eye cream pencils. There are some great shades of blue and Purple tones. And they stay put! I love any makeup that doesn't smudge and will stay put throughout the day.

This was an unusual grouping of colors, but looks like it was for 2011. I'm not sure that it makes sense to change color pallets when you find something that looks good on you. Don't get me wrong, I love to change it up with the seasons and want to keep looking fresh, but I don't feel like I have to follow every new look.

The CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast in Tempest Blue mentioned is fantastic. The pigment is very good and it very easy to take off. It blends very easy too. I happen to have the Revlon Nail Enamel in Not So Blueberry i do have to say it is such a beautiful color. It is sheer therefore i have to apply 3 coats but otherwise it is a very good color. Almay Smart Shade Makeup Foundation is a very good foundation it fits perfect to my skin color which is often hard to find so i definitely suggest it plus it is very affordable. I loved this review and it is perfect for people who dont want to spend tons of money on makeup.

The Maybelline eye liner mentioned is fantastic, lasts long but the application can be dodgy simply because there is no sharpener for it. You get a clean, thin, sharp line the first couple times and then the tip dulls to a rounded shape. I have it in black and the color is gorgeous. I'm going to get it in blue and use it with a bronze shadow. Also, I've never tried Rimmel mascara, but I might now.

I found he cove rgirl smokey shadow to crease, smudge and have no staying power. perhaps it is my lids. that's just my experience with it.

I like buying drugstore products because they do want consumers to come back and buy their products, brand loyalty. I have replaced several branded products with drug store brands and I am truly happy with them. it is better on my budget and I am not compromising on quality either. I have replaced my chanel foundation with CG natureluxe foundation.

i absolutely love love love wet n wild coloricon eyeshadows. I bought it a week ago and i tried it on this last weekend and it just looked amazing. Its easy to blend and i have no complaints. Im going to be buying more of these.

There is great drugstore makeup out there. I tend to spend the most money on my foundation and primer..the rest is just icing on the cake. NYC and prestige make great high pigment shadows that give the high dollar companies a run for their money.

Revlon nail polish isn't that cheap and isn't that great, in my opinion. However, those gel/cream eyeliners from Physicians Formula are FABULOUS, as are the Wet n Wild ColorIcon eyeshadow trios!

Ok, in FULL agreement with the comments of CG's shadowblast as this is one of the WORST products I have ever tried! I'd also like to ask if this article was striclty geared to the under 25 set (i.e. Camille Bell, Brittany Snow). At 43, while I am "adventurous", eye shadows with too much shimmer make my eyes appear crepey. Additionally, the expert kept pushing the blue eye shadow/blue shades in general and there are other Fall trends out there that may appeal more to those of us over 35, other than the small mention of red lips.

I agree about the last comment regarding CG's ShadowBlast... The original formula does not stay on well at all (and it creases). The rest of the suggestions seem pretty good though. By the way, the pop-up advertising ads were REALLY ANNOYING in this article.
