No. 5: An edgy shag

Here's how guys ranked her hair on a scale of 1 to 10
Sexiness: 4
Likeliness of Asking Her Out: 4

Here's what they had to say:

The bad: "Dirty, oily, weirdly cut. Why would I want to be near that hair?"

The good: "Sexy, edgy. She likes to get down."

The just plain weird: "Kinda seems like you're not allowed to smile with this cut on." And, "she looks psycho. I want to sleep with her, then run."

In my experience talking with my guy friends, they really aren't that picky. Men aren't like women. :) On a separate note, I second MissRAH42o. I have very curly, long hair and my boyfriend would have it no other way. He's actually sad if I straighten it. It so much more beautiful when women embrace who they really are.

Let's face it...if a guy can get what he wants, he doesn't care what your hair or makeup looks like! That said, I think it is more important for a woman to feel good about herself and how she looks on the inside and the outside. And, it is important for women to remember, "pretty is, as pretty does." (Doesn't matter what you look like if you are an evil witch inside.) that said, I have very curly hair which I usually make straighter. My husband thinks its hot when it's curly. Other guys in my life HATE it when it's curly. Now, to whom am I more interested in being appealing? Should be hubby! However, if I wasn't married, I would want to fall in love with the man who found me attractive the way I am; the way I feel happiest with myself. It took me a while in life to learn that you can't please everyone and if you try, you'll quickly become suicidal. So ladies, be who you are - ignore this article!

I have big crazy curly hair.. and my boyfriend LOVES it, he tells me every day.. Seriously, who doesn't put their hair up in a bun or pony once and a while!? Who was polled for these results.. Pauly D and the Situation?... REAL women are beautiful, not fake, over-done girls that spend hours on end trying to look like anything but themselves..

Ok so was it a guy that came up with all of these and how nerdy was he? I agree that if your make up is too dark or too bright you might as well give up but pony tails are easy when you are a mom and in a rush with 3 kids. We are not out to amaze men..we are out to feel good for ourselves so if a man feels intimidated because I have bangs well tough luck sissy

To David who thinks all women do things for men... Men can take off. I don't do anything for men. I want to look good FOR ME. It's about what I want. If some jack hole doesn't like me because of my hair, he can take a long walk off of a short pier. It doesn't matter what he thinks. It matters what *I* think. Women who do their hair/make up for men have issues with themselves. If I did all of that for men, I would look way different then I do now. This list honestly sounds like men don't like anything. Some men don't like short hair and others don't like long. Why not just have categories. That would have made more sense.

On the wild curls...I don't know WHY it would remind someone of the 80s, some girls actually have hair like that naturally!! So um, get over it!

I'm a straight male and I can say I agree fully with 10 out of 12. Dislike bangs, dislike the raccoon eyes, pixie cuts or any short hairstyles is a no no..Especially in Emma Watson's case. Couldn't tell if she was a woman or a boy. My biggest one is the dark red lipstick. Especially if they have full thick lips. They end up looking like the joker. Its interesting to read the comments. You have half of them being butt hurt and feeling insecure because they found out their "look" is something not to be desired. You have the other half spewing bs out of rage. The ones going "I do it for myself to make myself look good, men should not dictate how I should look"..Shut up. You do it to attract the opposite sex. You spend an hour in front of the mirror and hundreds of dollars on makeup to look pretty..FOR MEN. Women that go "I do it for myself not a man" is either an idiot or shes subconsciously doing it for men and just doesn't realize it. This is just one of the many 'studies' that ask such a small irrelevant amount of people in their 20's (brain dead age range) and people act as if it holds merit. If people are getting insecure over things like this....then yeaaaaaaaaaaa. Now if it asked to put a poll up on askmen/gq/fhm and several other sites then you could be throwing a hissy.
