I think it's important for very fair-skinned women to pull off a glossy shade when wearing a vivid color. Unfortunately, I don't feel lavender/purple flatters anyone.

I bought a beautiful burgundy lipstick from Avon, but I haven\'t had the nerve to wear it yet. It just seems so DARK. IMO, the wine-colored lipstick fad only works on women with almost-perfect skin, and you have to go easy on the rest of your face makeup to avoid looking clownish.

I understand why they are in, but I don't care for dark red tones anymore. I feel it makes me look older and prefer to condition my lips now with lip gloss and sometimes lip balm with a tint. Something that brightens the face.

love berry color, have been wearing a very similar shade this fall, and it certainly attracts a lot of attention! Looks great on cooler skin tones and makes green/hazel eyes pop! Not sure about purple on lips... Have yet to see a person it looks good on.
