Folate is also a vital nutrient for DNA repair so spinach helps to keep your skin looking its best -- from the inside out.
Tip: In their book "SuperFoods HealthStyle," Steven Pratt, M.D. and Kathy Matthews offer some tips on how to pick the best of the bunch when shopping for greens; "Look for fresh-looking fresh-smelling greens," they say. "Avoid any that are yellow or browned." They also recommend that you refrain from washing them right away, waiting till right before you're going to prepare or eat them.
