Maybelline New York Color Show Nail Lacquer, $3.99

This new nail polish line has more than 40 vibrant shades to choose from, and at $4 a pop, you can stock up on the whole collection without emptying your wallet. "When I first started applying the polish, I was nervous about the texture, because it's super thick," says Assistant Editor Emily Popp. "But it actually goes on very smoothly, and you only need one coat, which really cuts down on manicure time. But the real bonus is that the polish lasted a long time without chipping."

I tried Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara... it has a fragrance, and the brush is strange, but it's an okay mascara. I wouldn't put it in my Top 8 Fall 2012 Makeup Collections though.

Well I'm personally excited to try some of these, it's already a known fact that the expensive brands are the ones with the best collections! The Lancome mascara really caught my eye, a good shimmery formula is simply the hardest one to find in the market.

The only thing I will probably try is the mascara. I agree with venenumletalis, most of these items are seriously overpriced. You're not paying for the product or the packaging, but the name attached to it. That doesn't make it better than a less expensive brand, not by a long shot.

Thank god for fall. Good riddance to orange and gold, both make me look sallow and sick. This was my worst summer yet for color. The Tom Ford and Givenchy look promising. The Dior looks too much like colors in other palates.

I think the Lancome mascara sounds like something I would like to try. Same with the Too Faced eyeliner in moss. I like to have a more muted eyeliner and this seems like it won't be as startling as brown or black against my skin tone, but it will be noticeable enough for me to enjoy it and the "pop" it gives my eyes.
