No. 10: Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Lotion, $6.49

TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 7.5*
Why: Readers call this one of the "best sealing and healing" products for their eczema. One reader used this on her son when he developed eczema, and "within about five days of using this on his face, the heavy dry spots were completely gone." Another reader says she tried all sorts of "prescription-strength hydrocortisone creams" for her eczema, but "they don't work nearly as well" as this lotion. Readers say, "this lotion is GREAT" for keeping your eczema under control. "I just use a tiny little bit every morning after my shower, and no more eczema."

My granddaughter was born with eczema. We tried just about everything, the steroids the over the counter creams, until someone recommended this eczema kit from this site called Asebella. I ordered the eczema kit from them and it instantly stopped the itching, the red bumps and the dryness. I even ordered some healing butter for the dark marks and now her skin looks and feels FANTASTIC. She is only 7 and no longer itching. She takes her kit with her everywhere she swears by it.

The Vaseline sounds promising. I use one Eucerin at work and don't notice a huge difference over regular lotion, except that it smells worse.

I've had eczema since I was a kid and I've tried a lot of different moisturizers. Before I was using the Eucerin Calming Creme for years and I hated it. It did keep my skin moisturized and it calmed my spots ( my face, neck, chest and upper back) whenever they became inflamed but, it was way too greasy and thick for me. Then I tried using the Aquaphor but it was like putting Vaseline on my face. So my new dermatologist told me to try Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion and I absolutely looove it . It's not too thick or greasy and I would recommend it for anyone with this condition.

I have very bad excema on my arms, so bad that I rarely wear a t-shirt that could show it. My problem isn't nessiciarly the dryness(which is still bad), but the little red bumps..they're all over my arms! Hopefully some of this will help :)

MY SKIN DR SEEMS TO KNOW NOTHING EXCEPT PRESCRIBE STERIOD CREAM AND I HATE THE STUFF AND IT DOES NO GOOD. I BELIEVE ITS MOSTLY ALLERGIES FOR I HAVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD SKIN UNTIL RECENTLY AND IT MAY BE CERTAIN MEDICINES I AM TAKING BUT WILL TRY SOMETHING BESIDES STEROIDS.

I have been waiting to find Aveeno baby for eczema, but saw it once and then it disappeared. I did not know about the adult one here, so I am going to go in search for it. I saw a few products that I know of, but a few new ones. Glad to have caught this, and now something to use during the winter when I have the outbreak. The sun and heat seem to help it disappear.
