8 Best Lip and Cheek Stains -- and the 3 Worst
See which makeup finds from Benefit, Tarte, CoverGirl and more have our readers glowing and rosy, and which are big disappointments
Why: One reviewer calls it "lip stank," and goes on to say, "the product simply does not do what it promises." Another reader says, "um … OUCH!! Please use this stuff if you like the sensation of your lips slowly trying to escape to your gum lines. I even used lip balm first, then applied the lip stain. Still, ouch. Stick to your glosses. Again I repeat, ouch. Good for removing the top layer of skin on your lip, however, I am convinced there are easier and less painful ways to achieve that goal." One woman says, "this product had a beautiful color and I loved it for the whole hour it lasted. I've tried it with and without a layer of lip balm over it, and it doesn't stay on any longer either way. I was sadly disappointed."
