Go retro with a bandana A bandana worn as a headband reminds us of the "Rosie the Riveter" poster, but this version is less factory girl and more fashion girl thanks to a modern twist. Use a red or orange bandana and tie it into a knot at the top of your head. Then gather the rest of your hair and pull it into a high ponytail. Tease the pony, and wrap it around the elastic in a topknot. Dizon loves how this is a casual, yet chic look that you can wear to brunch or the grocery store.

I am glad to see ways to work long hair. Really would like to see the how to do's on some of the complicated hair accessories. Straight long hair which I don't use a curling iron or curlers anymore, and the pins tend to fall off or the hair moves around.

Besides the bow, these accessories are boring to me. I say go all out. Don't wear pigtails with ribbons, but if it suits your overall style, hair accessories can be an everyday thing. They are for me!

I have long hair, longer than its been in years, largely because I havent decided how to get it done. It is straight and healthy but I simply have zero skill when it comes to styling which is why I usually have a bob, no need to use ant implements air dries straight. I would like to nderstand how to do some of these but usually cant acheive looks I see. The sock bun loks neat, I do braid but havent consifdered a bow seems juvenile but maybe if it was the right one and done halfway. Hmmm, interesting article.

You can wear anything at any age. Don't believe this "30" crap. Just make sure you have all the things you need for the look and don't wear like one wistful thing with a stained t shirt and mom jeans.
