OK, so we admit most bows scream Minnie Mouse -- but they don't have to as long as you wear them discreetly, like below the bun as shown here. To achieve the volume necessary for the big bun, you'll need an old sock. Cut off the toe end of the sock and wrap it like a tube. Put the tubed sock around the ends of your hair, then slowly wrap your hair around the sock, moving upwards toward your elastic. Continue to wrap, then pin in place.
