I haven't really needed powder since I've used Lancome's "Dual Finish Versatile Powder Foundation." It functions as both as base and a powder and keeps oil at bay and my skin virtually flawless and glowing!

Many great options, I havent tried them all but have used 4-5 of them. The Geurlain meteorites work fabulously and are a collecters item as well. Each collection has them in slightly different colour formulations and they really do provide an excellent finsih natural but better. I have two types but I know there are people who have collected 9 or more as they are really so beautiful as a product and as a decorative item on your beauty table. The whole brand is amazing and I have to stay away as I am so tempted. For a more affordable product the clinique works well and they will take back if you dont get one you like. I tried 3 and found my match, aging skin needs that extra! Good selection

Clinique's powder is awesome for my red, sensitive skin, and it's a great price. They also last for a while which makes it even more worth it.

I tried bare escentuals back in 2007 and was so not a fan. However, I LOVED the mineral veil. In fact being reminded of the product and how much I loved it kind of inspires me to go buy it again!

I agree with the comments on here that say you should RECOMMEND MORE LESS-EXPENSIVE POWDERS. Consider doing "Best DRUGSTORE Face Powders"? For most women, like me, the highest-rated products on here are too unrealistic money-wise.

My face is crazy oily so I’ve tried a ton of powders. The Clinique and BE brands make me break out, but I like the L’Oreal True Match and Estee Lauder – they provide great coverage and give a little oil control too. The best powder I’ve ever used is one called Mattify Ultra powder from a place called Mattify Cosmetics. I use it with my liquid makeup and my skin doesn’t get greasy for hours. LOVE that suff! It’s clear, so it doesn’t look heavy like so many colored powders do.

I use the BE Mineral Veil. It works pretty well for me most days when I just go to class. However, days I spend outdoors in the sun, it does nothing! My face gets really oily and it just fades off.

Hard to believe, but NYC's compact is amazing - and at that price, it's worth seeing what I mean! Toss the applicator, though - a soft brush is much better.

Only problem with the Bare Escentuals powder is that it will fly all over the place. Hard to 'carry' with you unless you put it in a Ziploc bag.

Makeup Forever HD powder is the only setting powder for me! It's translucent so it doesn't alter the color of your foundation, it gives you a perfect matte finish, and a tiny bit goes a long way. One jar lasts months, so to me it's worth the money. I'm really surprised it didn't make the list.

i've tried the l'oreal true match, physician's formual and the bareminerals powders, all work super well. if you only want to buy drugstore brands, i'd recommend either of those. but if you're willing to splurge, go with bareminerals!! :)

Sephora has a mineral powder for 10 that is excellent. It give me a medium coverage easily. I also like mac studio fix plus and of course makeup forever duo mat powder.

Guerlain Meteorites Powder is crazy looking! I have a cheap Physician's Formula powder that is talc free and comes in a super cute compact. It sets my concealer & foundation really well so I have not bought another powder yet.

I like ELF's HD powder which is very inexpensive and comperable to any high-end brand I have used. I noticed women wearing mineral veil at a product show and wondered how they did not see they were so obviously covered in powder, like they had been worked on by a funeral home. Recently I received some mineral veil and got a chance to see the ingredients-cornstarch! No wonder! If a piecrust looks powdery covered in cornstarch would a human face look any different? I don't understand mineral veil's proponents.
