If you like Dr. Jart+, consider the Black Label BB cream. The Premium BB was breaking down around my nose about midday, and the Black Label was recommended and it's just divine. If you have combo/oil/acne-prone skin - give it a try! Don't be scared off by the one shade or the price - the shade blends into even the palest of skin (this was recommened to me by a pale redhead), and it is so much more than a "tinted moisturizer"!

I am surprised that Jane Iredale's BB cream did not make the list given that Dream tint was mentioned. JI BB cream is amazing! It leaves a nice dewey finish.

This is one of my favorite BB creams out in the market right now. Not only does it moisturize it is also tinted. What made it one of my favorite was the fact that it has SPF 45! I'm deadly afraid of getting wrinkles and more freckles so I want a makeup with strong SPF. Sometimes when I'm extremely lazy I just put on the BB cream and that's it. The pricing may be a little expensive but it is worth it because it does last long. It took me months to finish one tube. It goes on the skin really well too, however, the one flaw I see in this product is that they only got one color.

I just did a review on my blog about this very subject. (Simply Stine) and I came to the conclusion that there is a big difference between some of the BB Creams out there. You just have to try a lot of them and see what works best for you.

I've gone to the dept. stores to try several of these when the bad wagon of BB became a fad in the US, hoping to be able to purchase them in person. These are NOT true bb creams. I've been using BB for years, it's huge in asia and nothing new in Korea. The texture and prices of these are ridiculous and watered down. I honestly can't see what the big deal is for these dept store and drugstore so call bb's. I did get the maybelline one, and thought not a true BB cream it is nice to mix the tint with my Missha or skin 79 bb's. It's funny how in asia and europe this is old news and much cheaper to buy than here in the states. Depending where you're at, asian stores sell these, but they come in very fair skin colors as where it's know to be a whitening product. If you have a tan or want a bronzer look to you, just mix a true BB cream with a tinted moisturizer and it works perfect.

This article is missing the best BB cream made by Missha. It has high SPF and never breaks me out, covers, conceals, evens my skin tone. There are only three shades available, but mine works on my very light skin as well as many others I\'ve tried it on including my very tan niece! I highly recommend a story like this covering the excellent Asian BB creams. They are more original and much better than the US/European options.

There are so many BB creams out there, its difficult to know which ones to try. For such a high price point, its not ideal to purchase one and have it not be the right one. I don't know if I am under the misconception that BB creams are supposed to prime, conceal and cover, but it seems that most don't give much coverage. Is there a benefit to using a BB cream if you have to wear foundation over the top of it? I have been using a tinted moisturizer that when applied with a foundation brush, gives pretty good coverage. I've also purchased Loreal's BB cream and it seems to give moderately light coverage. However, I don't want to have to use a primer, concealer, tinted moisturizer and BB cream to get the coverage I need. I would be interested to hear what the top 10 BB creams are but only if they provide the same amount of coverage I would get by using a foundation without the need for a pressed powder or something. Just ONE product is obviously ideal. After reading this article, I may try the Garnier BB cream. However, I have also been considering the Revlon Youth Code BB cream. It is a little pricey at about $30.00 so I'd like to know if any other readers have used this or know of another great BB cream that provides the coverage of a full coverage foundation.

I'm actually really surprised that they didn't include any application tips or why BB creams were developed! First, BB creams were developed for patients who just had plastic surgery and helped not only cover and heal the scarring but also improved their skin overall. Second, one of the best features of BB creams (true ones, in other words from Korea) is that, unlike foundation, they have buildable coverage - meaning you can add layers depending on how much coverage you want. Use one layer to get your tinted moisturizer look, add more if you want extra coverage, and extra as a concealer for areas like under the eyes and so forth. I've also heard the American BB creams are much thinner than their Korean counterparts, making them even more like tinted moisturizers and may be harder to build, which is why I won't use them (especially considering the cost). I personally have very fair skin, and any high-quality foundation I've used (high quality for me being Clinique, MAC, and Smashbox) always has either too pink or yellow of a base, MAC being the worst. I recently ran out of my Skin79 BB cream and had to switch back to my reserve of Clinque's Even Better in Alabaster - I didn't realize just how much I disliked it and how bad the tone was until switching back. I've used Skin79's Diamond Pearl BB Cream and it blended well with my skin tone after it oxidized (some can come out of the tube grayish, but will oxidize after about 10 minutes, leaving great color) with a translucent powder on top. I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin, so I always use Smashbox's oil free primer under any makeup I use, including BB creams. I also use regular moisturizer underneath it all since I live in the desert; however, I would probably skip the moisturizer in a more humid climate and just use the primer. I'm actually waiting for my Missha cream to come in the mail, since I like to experiment with different brands. I would definitely continue using the Skin79 one, though, and I also read that their Super Hot Pink is a good color for really fair skin. Oh, and a word of caution: there are a lot of fakes for the Korean BB Creams, so make sure you either buy from a certified, physical branch store or check the seller reviews from places like amazon. Also, if they're selling other stuff like car parts or kids toys in addition to makeup, I would avoid buying from them and finding a seller who specializing in beauty products. Buying fakes not only gives you a bad impression of the brand, but also can be really dangerous to your health (they could've put anything in it). My suggestion would be to look on Youtube for tips on spotting fakes, as I did, and some beauty blogs have tips too.

i just started using smashbox bb cream and didnt think i was going to like bb creams but surprisingly i love it. I wear foundation everyday and i was always wearing mac foundation but now im stuck to bb creams. i think bb creams are better for daytime because its not so think or heavy like regular foundations

i'm surprised bobby brown did not make it to this list. among all the bb creams i have tried including the asian brands, (skin78, hanskin, brtc, missha, dr jart, clinque, dior, garnier, bobby brown, sarah mcnamara) my favorite ones are bobby brown, brtc, skin 78 and dr jart. bb cream i think works like a moisturizer, i actually use it like a moisturizer with sunscreen since the spf that comes with it is high. BUT, bb cream is just like a tinted moisturizer so you can just mix ur primer and liquid foundation and sunscreen, that will be ur home made bb cream. BUT, one more thing about bb creams, it could brighten ur complexion also, it's definitely worth i try i think.

I've tried a few of these BB creams, but I've used a lot of BB creams from Asia, and none of the ones that I've tried in the states aren't at all like the ones that I get from Asia, and frankly I don't like them as much. Anyone know where I can get something that's a little more similar?

A note to those who are new to BB Creams, they will not provide coverage that is equivalent to foundation. These are meant as a more "lazy day" look without looking like you have awaken from a cave. On another note, it is very hard to find a BB Cream for FAIR skin tones. Most of these appear orange/brown/cakey on myself.

I've only started to venture using the BB creams. I have one that is not listed here in this article, but still I am not convinced that they are as great as they claim to be. I've used the L'Oreal BB cream and I didn't get good coverage. Personally, I found that I prefer to use a primer then a foundation and skin illuminator. I don't think the BB creams live up to all the hype.

I agree with Blondiechick. BB creams actually provide coverage like foundation, but are much less heavy than foundation. You should try other BB creams other than American ones to fairly judge. People don't even know what they're missing. Garnier being a "great product"!? It's not rachael113's fault for not knowing that it's about the worst one I've tried out of five BB creams. I really like Missha. I hope people look into BB creams more and know what's up! I don't know why American brands are so different.

Skin79 and Missha they have been used since the 50-60's for laser skincare do you beauty people look up anything. The american products are terrible only the Asian are real BB creams. They are not tinted moisturizers. If you did any research you would know that. I can't believe you get paid to know nothing!

I love Too Faced BB. I watched the video with Jerrod, co founder of Too Faced, and he discussed the summer collection. This was one of the items. I decided to buy it, and I am amazed how it fills in wrinkles, moisturizes, and leaves a beautiful natural, dewy glow.

I still don't know how I feel about American BB creams. I also use the Missha Perfect Cover, but in Natural Beige #23. I think the difference between American and Korean BB Creams as a whole is that the Korean formulas are generally more thick and effective. I have tried or tested a lot of both, but I am biased to Korean BB Creams.

I think it all comes down to 2 key things. 1) Color Match: Even if it's the best formula and 'best' BB cream out there, if the color doesn't match... it's the worst BB cream. 2) Moisture Match: making sure the BB Cream is the right amount of moisture and texture you're looking for.

Best BB cream I've ever tried is M Signature Real Complete by MISSHA. It's Korean brand that is available in US and is well-known and loved everywhere in Asia. I've been their happy customer for almost two years. Agree with isleofviews on Asian BB creams being cheaper but still better quality. The only problem I can think of is lack of shades but MISSHA recently launched several darker shades for US market. Well, anyway, highly recommend, I think this brand deserves to be popular!

I tried Smashbox......and returned it. lol It was like a over price tinted moisturizer. They make bb creams out to be some skin miracle worker. If you take care of yourself on the inside it will show on the outside. Or use Clarisonic. lol

i'm intrigued but it would be hard for me to stray from my current tinted moisturize (laura mercier oil free w/ spf). i don't like heavy makeup and wouldn't want to add another layer. and at these prices, i may just sample one first before committing...

I don't understand, why not mention some of the Asian BB creams as they are really very good. For example, Missha, SkinFood, or Skin79. They're also quite cheaper than than the US brands, seem to have slightly higher spf than some, there are so many more options, and also seem to have more actual skin care qualities.

I don't really understand this article. There are not that many BB Creams even available here in the US and it looks like you simply listed all of them. And 1/2 of them are actually terrible. The Garnier one is horrible (looks horrible and is horrible for your skin) and the Boscia one was a mess.

I've tried several of the different BB creams. I tried the Boscia which was too dark for my light skin and not much coverage. I went through a whole tube of Dr. Jart which I will be buying again unless I find another one that I like and can get out of tube. I didn't like the container it came in. Had to break of the cap to use it after a while. I thought it was empty after using it for about a month. Turns out there was a lot more product in it. I tried Estee Lauder and it was too thin and too light. It was expensive and not much product compared to the Jart. I didn't notice any fragrance with these. If there is any it's so light I missed it.

I've only tried the Dr. Jart product and my mom just got Estee Lauder's product. I've love Dr. Jart, but it's a tad pricey. I'll be interested to hear what my mom says about hers.

I think Korean brands, the originator of BB creams, still rule the market with the best ones. Some of these are not even BB creasm. No SPF!

tried Boscia .. the texture is funny and it takes a while to blend them in .. slightly shimmery too. love the Smashbox ones, but slightly towards a tinted moisturiser feel though. i guess Estee Lauder's will be a good one but i stopped using EL due to allergy to a certain ingredients in their product.

from the western brands, i have only tried Boscia, i like the color better for my skin since it's suppose to match and blend with the skin color, but like all the other tinted/sheer foundations not near perfect, but good enough. I also tried DrJart Black label (tho i think it's an asian brand, i didn't read carefully) but it was way to white for me. I think my next test will be the Garnier BB since it's only $12, hopefully is contains a good amount around 30ml.

I am very fair and I tried the Garnier BB cream in "light" (bought it in France during a business trip). I love it. It is not obvious, doesn't melt even if I go for a run and is not heavy. Doesn't make me break out either. So glad it is available in the US now!

Having a hard time finding a BB creme that works with my very fair and oily skin. Garnier, Boscia and Dr. Jart haven't worked for me. Going to head to Sephora this weekend and give Stila and Smashbox a try.

I am crazy about the BB by Jouer! It sets me back about $38, but it goes on great over a primer, doesn't make my oily skin greasy, isn't over-shiny, and has an SPF of 30, too! A little bit goes a long way, so I think it iswell worth the splurge!

I use the Garnier BB cream & love it. It has medium coverage which works well for me since I don't like to wear foundation. It moisturizes yet doesn't make me shiny or oily. Helps the rest of my make up to last all day too. And you can't beat the $. :)

I heard about them a few months ago but since BB creams got there start in Asia I'm having a hard time finding one that would work for African skin tones. All the colors would be too ashy on my skin tone

Until I saw this article I'd never even heard of a BB cream. I'm so out of the loop! I think this is interesting- especially with spring / summer coming up, maybe I'll give one a shot :)

I love the BB craze! I haven't tried one yet, but after reading this, I will try the Smashbox BB cream. I do love any cosmetics that combine more than one ingredient for a multi-tasking product. I definitely prefer using 1 product to take care of multiple problems and BB creams are the answer! Another great article, Thanks!

The Garnier one is brilliant as a try-out one as it the most reasonably priced! A little goes a long way-only downside to it is that it only does 2 shades! Going to try out the Smashbox one I think now I know I like BB Creams! :) Great article, thanks TB :)

As much as I like BB creams, I can't wear them alone because the colors don't match very well on my skin. I like to use them as a primer though!

I would love to try BB cream because with summer coming up, foundation is a little too heavy, and I haven't found a tinted moisturizer that I like yet. I'm going to try to give the Garnier one a try!!
