Shoulder stand • Lie on the floor on your back with arms at your sides, palms down.
• Press your hands into the floor as you lift your legs up into the air toward the ceiling and then over your head into the plow pose you just read about.
• Place your hands on your lower back, spreading your fingers wide.
• Slowly lift your legs straight up toward the ceiling one leg at a time.
• Try to make your body as straight as possible by walking your hands down your back closer to your shoulder blades.
• Hold for one to three minutes. Gently release and roll through your spine to return to the mat.
It's not exactly yoga that is anti-aging, but rather more the stretching that forces you to relax and breath, allowing you to clear your mind. I did gymnastics for 15 yrs and I found that stretching for 20minutes a day, with similar moves here, before the yoga fad, helped me reduce stress, even when the pressures of competition was upon me. This should explain for the yoga amateurs why exactly the move helps with anti-aging and also mention that most of these moves are not for those with joint or back problems such as myself. It's like blind faith with this article. You tell me what to do, but why?
im new to yoga (and love it) i tried this, the first 1 i couldnt really get, i was a little confused and dont bend that way. the second kept making me laugh. the rest i got lol
I do these everyday expect the "Fish". Will try that tomorrow. I was a little skeptic earlier as of if I'm doing the yoga in the right way. Now I'm happy that I'm not only doing right but also doing the right ones:)
