African American? You "guys" really need to stop. This is embarrassing. You don't have a clue. Full lace wigs and weaves are very different from African American hair.

I dont get it - these hairstyles dont seem african american to me. nearly everyones hair is straight. they are basically white hairstyles recreated with black hair. or more like indian/remy hair... -_- least favorite "beauty tips" I've seen yet

I don't really know how I feel about the style selection. They just don't represent the range of AA styles that I think should be included. Not all AA women have weaves, extensions, and relaxed hair. The hairstyles themselves were pretty.

I am extremely disappointed with this article. I do not see any variation on texture or length except for Selita Eubank's bob. I agree with stephanie_stewart's remark. Please reflect the diverse rainbow that I expect to see when looking up articles that purport to represent cutting edge hair trends among AA women.

I can't say I would call a style "African-American" if most African-Americans would have to relax their hair to achieve the style! I'm happy to see African-Americans included, but some natural looks would be appreciated.

@ attagirl, I've always admired Gabrielle Union's hair. I didn't know she has press and curl. I myself have press & curl only (40+years, sometimes about 3 months I'll go natural to give my hair a break.) I have vowed never to discard my hot comb & curlers.

I can appreiciate you hard work on this article, HOWEVER, most of these celebrities are wearing weaves or wigs. LOL Most African American women do not have hair that looks anything like this. So the advice is highly irrelevant for most of us. LOL
