These are all good products for nail care. Everyone hates to chip or break a nail. Especially when removing to plastic seal and tight cap from an eye drop bottle. A new product is coming this month designed to eliminate the hassle. It is called CapTool, Your Helping Hand.

I use a wonderful nail file made of crystal glass, so gentle on the nails! i like when i see that the products recommended are sometimes "cheapies" - like Vaseline. Who says that in order to work a product needs to be super-expensive?!

I am a big lover of everything Vaseline I am going to have to check out that hand/nail lotion! I have a crystal nail file, and if I go back and fourth on the nail it gives me the heebee geebees! It does feel much better than the old emery board.

Orly products are so great. I use many of their colors and especially their hardeners and they are the best I've used. They are a big pricey but Sally Beauty always has a good deal on them!

I used to buy cuticle oil, but now use petroleum jelly. It's not only great for cuticles. At night I use all over feet and put on sock. Really softens. It's great for chapped lips. I buy mine in CVS which makes one that has a lavender scent. I believe other stores make scented brands. If you look at the labels of many products for softening skin, you may see petrolatum, which is petroleum. A huge tub lasts a long time.

Oh, if only I had this article a year ago when my toe nails suffered greatly. They split, got brittle etc. and I had a black and blue under the nail. So, I went back to wearing polish even though it was not warm out (during sandal season). I did end up moisturizing though did not know of the product mentioned. The one thing that is important too is vitamins-since nails grow all the time. I went back to those partly because of this issue. I stopped using Sally Hansen nail products, but the base coat sounds like it might be worth a try. I just hope it is carried near me.

Loved the entire article-I have the worst and most embarrassing nails in the world-even the dermatologist said there was nothing he could do to help them-as a child I picked and split them whenever possible-bottom line-extremely embarrassing result and when I started using false nails from the salon that was the icing on the cake-total wreckage-I have been trying for a long time to do my best so now I will certainly try some of the products mentioned in the fabulous article-all we can is try-if we don't-nothing good happens-Again-thanks for the great article and product advice.

My nails use to chip and break a lot, and i would end up peeling the tip layer off. In college i started eating more natural food and less process food, and used lotions after showering. They don't chip and flake anymore. I also started putting garlic in my polishes, helps with strengthening and decreasing nail fungus.

ANYTHING that includes PANTHENOL whether it is hand ream, cuticle cream, Sally hanson Double Duty, well, anything w/ Pathenol and Vitamin E, especially from the Body Shop, will work on any nail type. Even split, peeling, weak nails. If it does not have Panthenol, do not buy.

I'm kind of underwhelmed by Orly Bonder. And honestly, I think the best polish remover I've ever used is Onyx, that inexpensive stuff in a huge bottle that you can buy just about anywhere.

I am a bit disappointed at all the OPI awards--where's Zoya, Deborah Lippmann, China Glaze, a-England, Glitter Gal, Ozotics.....OPI is just ok in comparison. And c'mon, you really expect a $1 polish to do well? You get what you pay for. I can definitely vouch for Butter London and Drs Remedy for being great polishes! MUST get Chanel.....

Glass nail files are fantastic, that's true. Just have to make sure you buy a quality one (like crystal ones), the cheap glass ones do wear out fast.
