Women Are Faking It 'Til They Make It

Plus coconut water's newest competitor, Anja Rubik's crazy music video and more of the top stories of the day

• Well this sure is interesting: Some women fake orgasms in order to reach orgasm. Sure, it sounds like a paradox, but scientists have found that some women experience what's called "elevated arousal" -- the idea that some women are actually attempting to increase their own arousal when their faking orgasms. And in doing so they actually can help stimulate a real orgasm. [Time]

• Sally Hansen released a smokey eye for your nails, which sounds highly confusing, but also really pretty? Technically, it's a semi-transparent black lacquer which is supposed to add dimension to whatever color you wear under it. [Refinery29]

• Apparently Denmark has a low birthrate problem, so in order to encourage non-baby-having Danes to procreate, the country's created a "do it for Denmark" national advertising campaign. So there you go. [USA Today]

• Move over coconut water, the new player in town is Vertical Water, which is made from maple trees. It's actually the maple sap water. So what are the benefits? Not much, other than it's "tastier." it's got a slight sweetness to it (that's the sap flavor), though it's relatively low in sugar (three grams of sugar per 240 ml serving). But it won't do your taxes or make you suddenly five inches taller or anything. [Business Insider]

• Anja Rubik is a Polish-born supermodel, so it makes sense that when she chose a music video to star in (supermodels love starring in music videos, you know), she'd go with a Polish rock star. She's front and center in Mister D.'s video for "Chleb." She rides a giant dachshund. That is all. [Refinery29]

• Just in case you were worried, baby North West didn't wear makeup for the Vogue cover shoot. Phew. And as you may have suspected, Kanye West was rather opinionated about what Kim was wearing. Despite the fact that Grace Coddington, who is basically like the fashion boss of the world, had couture dresses made for Kim, West was, uh, "very vocal" about what she was wearing. According to a source on the shoot, "He thought her makeup looked very beautiful, but definitely had opinions on the dresses and the styles he liked best, but it was in a supportive way -- it was lovely to see them interact with each other."
