Translating Songs Into Beautiful Makeup Looks

Plus Kardashian klothes troubles, why vitamins make your urine yellow, and more of the top stories of the day

• Beauty looks, as described by male songwriters, is pretty genius, we gotta say. Writer Rachel P. took three classic song descriptions of women and modeled her makeup looks after their descriptions. For instance, "Bluish," by Animal Collective, which describes getting lost in a girl's "bluish eyeshadow." It's a cool little makeup experiment. [XOVain]

• A study published in the Journal of Substance Use & Misuse (which sounds like a pretty fun read if you ask us) found that white wine drinkers pour themselves the biggest glasses of alcohol. On average, white winers pour around nine percent more than red wine drinkers. [Jezebel]

• Metallic makeups that are almost -- but really, not quite as good as -- getting your hands on some real precious metals [Refinery29]

• Is male menopause a real thing? The jury's out. Some researchers say that male menopause, which is commonly termed "andropause," occurs in many men, and is characterized by a reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction, weight gain, depression and general fatigue. It's caused by a decrease in testosterone as guys age, and while there's no standardized treatment for it yet (other than increased doses of testosterone), doctors generally treat it on a symptom-by-symptom basis. So yeah, that's fun. [Medical News Today]

• Did you celebrate National Coffee Day this past Sunday? If you're anything like us, you celebrate and honor the importance of coffee in you're life every single morning. You might even be singing its glorious caffeinated praises right now. Celebrate coffee because it's good for your skin; reduces your risk of oral cancer; can lower your risk of type 2 diabetes; can lower your risk of endometrial cancer; and is a great source of antioxidants. Not too shabby, eh? [Business Insider]

• Former America's Next Top Model winner Lisa D'Amato -- who had a rep for being pretty wild on the show -- gave birth to a baby boy over the weekend. D'Amato tweeted photos of Daxel Vaughn Friedman's feet and eyes with the words "My baby boy Daxel Vaughn Friedman is born! He is 7 [lbs.] 2oz and he is perfect! I'm in love. #LibraBaby." The father is D'Amato's hubby Adam Friedman. [People]

• Would you like a taco, or an item from the Kardashian Kollection of fine klothing goods? Because it turns out that the Kardashians are selling many items from their "kool and konfident" Sears Kollection on major mark down -- priced as low as $3.99 or about the price of an item from the Taco Bell Value Menu. Could it be all the major drama surrounding the fam at the moment is turning off consumers? Or maybe the designs are just not that kute? [The Gloss]

• You take your vitamins and suddenly your pee is bright, orangey-yellow. What gives? It turns out that's caused by excess riboflavin in your system. Damn you, riboflavin! [Today I Found Out]
