Jessica Alba Gave Dr. Oz a Facial He'll Never Forget

A skillfully applied homemade mask left the good doctor with a rosy complexion (Or, was he just blushing?)

It was a "wake up call" (in the form of an allergic reaction to a laundry detergent formulated expressly for infants) that prompted actress Jessica Alba to start The Honest Company, a "brand where parents can find reliable information and products that are safe, stylish and affordable."

As a concerned mom, Alba wanted to be able to use products without having to worry about what harmful chemicals could be in them. "I wanted to be part of a brand that practices transparency," she says, "But also one that does all the hard work for me since I'm not a doctor or a scientist and cannot always understand everything that is listed on a product label."

And, it was during the January 29 episode of the "Dr. Oz" show that Alba (pre-lob cut), while plugging her company and extolling the virtues of using natural products, reduced the affable host to a giggly adolescent with a major crush.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't that flirty, but the two did have fun kibitzing with each other as Alba, who's married to actor Cash Warren applied one of her signature homemade facial scrubs to Oz's cheek (which, on a typical day we can assume is only touched by his makeup artist and his wife of 29 years, Lisa).

"Let me see if it works," Oz said, offering up his cheek to her to do with as she saw fit. "You're so sweet," Alba laughed as she smeared on the concoction. "I wish my husband was this sweet."

So, what goes into the scrub she applies to her famous face? 1/2 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt mixed with 1 tbsp. ground coffee and 1 tbsp. coconut oil. (Although, she says that when she's working and wearing a lot more makeup, she substitutes lemon juice for the coconut oil because it helps to counteract the greasy residue.) "Basically, it's just stuff from the kitchen that you can round up and use to make your skin more beautiful," the clear-skinned actress said.
