How to Do a Basic Hair Wrap
Wondering how to wrap your hair? Have a silk scarf on hand and start by making a bun. For coarse/thick hair, create a low bun. One of the easiest ways to make a low bun is to pull your hair into a ponytail and gather it right at the base of your neck. Then, twist the hair clockwise until it feels like you're gripping one firm strand. Finally, twist the strand clockwise toward your head so that it coils into the shape of a bun. Use a covered elastic to secure the bun in place. Avoid using clips or pins as these may leave indentations in your hair.

Now you're ready for the hair wrap. Stretch out a large silk scarf and center it at the nape of your neck. Bring the ends forward and twist them together as though you were drying your hair with a towel. Once you've created a single twist, wrap it several times around your head. Finally, tuck the ends underneath the lowest coil to secure the wrap in place. Make sure that your wrap starts below the hairline at the forehead. You may need to adjust it.

Wrap a silk scarf around your head and secure in the front. Et, voila! Unfasten the silk scarf and your bun in the morning. Your blowout is intact.

How to Wrap Hair to Preserve Cushion Curls
Curly coifs are adorable. Wrapping your hair in a certain kind of way can save this blowout. The technique is known as pineappling. Start by bending over at the waist and combing your hair downwards with your fingers. Next, make a high ponytail and loosely secure the hair in place by tying a scarf at the base of the ponytail.

Alternatively, you can make virtual rollers to protect your curls overnight. To do so, section your hair with your fingers. For best results, you should have at least three sections: two on the sides, and one in the middle that falls from your forehead to the back of your neck. Roll each section in the curl's direction. Secure these sections with hair pins.

Finish either of these methods by wrapping your hair in a silk scarf. Secure the scarf at the front. In the morning, free your shiny, bouncy curls.

How to Prolong Sleek Blowouts With a Hair Wrap
In order to protect perfect sleekness at bedtime, make a center part with fingers. Create two sections. Add a dab of your favorite hair serum to seal and polish strands. Wrap the left section around your forehead, right above the ears, and continue in a swirl pattern toward the top of your head until you run out of hair. Then hold it in place with alligator clips. Repeat this process with the right section. Then, wrap your hair in a silk scarf and wake up to a perfect blowout the next day!

Protect Loose, Sexy Curls With a Hair Wrap
To keep your sexy waves, avoid brushing your hair before wrapping. Use your fingers to create four sections. Form a bun at each section. At bedtime, wrap the buns in a silk scarf to keep them protected while you sleep.
