Apparently a few poor souls got really confused, because the soda maker has agreed to stop adding Vitamin E to its formula in order to claim the fizzy sugar water is actually healthy. Those not familiar with the soda aisle at the supermarket might have missed that 7-Up has been offering diet Cherry Antioxidant, Mixed Berry Antioxidant and Pomegranate Antioxidant varietals. In a totally no-duh statement, Steve Gardner of the Center for Science in the Public Interest said, "Soda is not a health food, and should not be marketed as a healthy source of antioxidants or other nutrients."
