Forever 21 Steps Up the Quality of Their Footwear Offerings
The low-priced, trendy retail chain is upgrading their premium shoe selection
The magic of Forever 21 is that you could stock an entire new wardrobe twice over for under $200. There's no other store we can think of, fast fashion or otherwise, with prices so low that we can pick up everything we need and more without hearing the collective heaving sigh of our bank accounts. We don't want to make a habit of sacrificing quality for quantity, but who can blame us on those 2-for-$20 jeans?
Though we'll snag a floral skirt or a frilly dress off a Forever 21 clearance rack anyway, we've always known that it's best to steer clear of their footwear. That's where the cheap construction really becomes apparent -- or, rather, it becomes apparent when the heel of a brand-new boot cracks and sends us flying onto the sidewalk. Their shoes can be... unreliable, to say the least.

Forever 21 took note: the cheap chain is debuting its new "premium leather shoe collection," a 10-piece offering which promises higher quality material, including -- gasp! -- real leather. While prices for their shoe selection usually run under $30, this new line will range from $49 to $79. Let's hope that the retailer has made amends with their safety policies in the past few weeks since they came under fire for unsafe amounts of lead in several pieces of their footwear and accessories. The last thing we need is lead poisoning in exchange for a bargain. [Fashionista]
