Cameron Diaz is releasing a new book this year, called
The Body Book, aimed at imparting positive vibes and helpful information about wellness and health. Diaz has a lot of advice to give, apparently -- the book took more than 18 months to write -- and she has a lot of strong feelings about how a person should be, and how they should (gulp) groom their pubic hair.
In a section called "In Praise of Pubes," Diaz recommends that women leave hair down there. "Let's be honest: Just like every other part of your body, your labia major is not immune to gravity," she writes. "Do you really want a hairless vagina for the rest of your life?" And she's really against laser hair removal, mostly because she thinks women should have the option to change their minds. Says Cammie: "I know you may think you'll be wearing the same style of shoes forever and the same style of jeans forever, but you won't. The idea that vaginas are preferable in a hairless state is a pretty recent phenomenon, and all fads change, people."
Plus, says Diaz, pubic hair keeps things sexy. "Pubes keep the goods private, which can entice a lover to come and take a closer look at what you have to offer." The more you know. [
