How To Get Rid Of Oily Hair

These tips for preventing oily hair will make your hair look more shiny and healthy in no time

Oily hair can be both frustrating and embarrassing, and can lead to greater health problems such as lice and even scalp infection. Before spending money on a dermatologist, check out these tips on how to get rid of oily hair. These are simple yet effective remedies that have worked for many people that suffer with oily hair, and there is a good chance that there are some suggestions on this list that you may have never even thought of trying before.

One of the first things that people assume when they try to figure out how to get rid of oily hair is that they are not washing their hair enough. Interestingly enough, it is the exact opposite. When you shampoo your hair too frequently you strip it of its natural oils, replacing them with chemical residue, which makes your scalp undernourished and dry. This in turn causes your body to produce an excess of oil, resulting in an oily scalp. In addition to shampooing less often, you should also look for salon-grade shampoos that indicate that they are specifically for oily hair. Another good tip on how to get rid of oily hair is to monitor your use of hair products like conditioner. Stick to lighter formulas, only condition your hair every few days, and avoid applying the conditioner to your scalp. Instead, focus on applying the product at the ends of your hair, which is the area that needs conditioner the most anyway.

Thanks for the tips! I often use too much conditioner on my hair because I want it to be healthy and shiny, but I only get flat, oily scalp
