How To Get Rid of Frizzy Hair
Keep the frizzies at bay by following these tips
Helene Sheptin, a Los Angeles based hairstylist, recommends showering your hair at night, then wrapping your hair in a T-shirt and going to bed. You will wake up the next morning with frizz-free hair that will cut your styling time in half. Another tip on how to get rid of frizzy hair is to use a product such as Redken Outshine or John Frieda Frizz-Ease Shine Glossing Mist which will help get rid of frizz and keep your hair soft. If you do not have any product lying around, just take a bit of lotion and rub it between your hands, then smooth over your hair to tame those unruly strands.
Another tip that Sheptin recommends on how to get rid of frizzy hair is to run cold water over your hair before stepping out of the shower. A quick blast of cold water will help to close the hair cuticles that have been opened by the hot water. When blow drying hair, point the dryer downwards so that the hair blows down the cuticle, not against it, which will result in additional frizz. Incorporate a round brush into your routine, which will help pull your hair strands downwards and keep them from getting tangled. Before shutting off your blow dryer, hit the cool button setting and let the cool air smooth your hair cuticles, eliminating any extra frizz.
