I was in there this past weekend and they have a whole new aisle of new makeup. Not your standard cover girl or Revlon either! They had a whole aisle that made me feel like I stumbled into Sephora or Ulta! The makeup was full of fun colors, what looked like professional quality tools. The price for most of the stuff was a lot, which makes me wonder if Target is trying to get some new shoppers. I know from what I saw with the testers a lot of the stuff seemed to be pretty good quality.

It does seem that Target has upped wal-mart in the makeup department, lol. I just purchased JK Jemma Kidd's Fashion Eye Palette, I created a sexy smokey eye but the price is a bit much, $36 dollars, I guess it's worth it because you get a nuetral color, a dark color, black glitter eyeliner, and two lip glosses in one small package. I'm obsessing over whether or not I should go to Target tonight and buy the Mannequin complexion enhancer it's $14 dollars, idk if I want to spend that much on makeup though. I think even though it's a designer brand makeup, if Target wants to sale it, I think they should bring the price down a bit because once my palette is gone I doubt I'd spend that much again on it, it's Target after all, not Sephora or some other department store that does sell JK Jemma Kidd products.

I did notice that they have added new lines but I haven't looked closely at them. Maybe they are trying to capture a different type of consumer. The one who really can't afford department store products but doesn't want the discount store products either. It should be a good fit, if it works.

When I found out that Target had added the Jemma Kidd, Pixi, and Napoleon Perdis cosmetic lines I got really excited and I can't wait to stop by there for a visit! Even if I don't buy anything, I just want to ogle the new stuff!
I read about the change in last issue's Allure (or was it InStyle??) before my store even got the stuff. Now they do though. I hope they do well. Part of me thinks that they'll go like hotcakes (like Boots is) and the other part of me thinks that they might be a bit pricey for most of Target's clientelle. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well for someone like me, I do regularly spend that kind of money on makeup. I also seriously LOVE target! My hubby and I are in there atleast once or twice a week!

I saw some blush that I really wanted to try last night. Some guy was in there with his daughter trying to figure out what was blush and was asking me question. LOL I must look like someone who knows her makeup. I think it was Pixi that has some blush that LOOKS about like nail polish, but you dab it in your cheeks and then rub it in and it also supposedly works on your lips too!

I LOVE Target anyway, and yes, I have noticed how they expanded the cosmetic section. There are 2 Targets near me, and I prefer the larger one, where the parking is ample as well! They not only remodeled and expanded the size of the store, the cosmetic section is like a department store section. They do carry more brands, tools, AND what I'm sure are still reasonable prices. I agree with another poster who said that they are probably trying to attract another type of consumer: No drugstore brands but no department store either. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I find drugstore brands work just fine for me.

I only go to Target every 6 months or so, and when I do, I STOCK up on things.
